There is no Japan server. It's a Japanese language client using the North American PC megaserver.

They partnered with a Japanese company, and I think they do all the support, including translating the articles and announcements, and they have their own community forum.
They don't stand out on the NA server. For all I know, ZOS has partitioned them off in the game so it is like they have their own server. It is entirely possible for the megaserver to sort people in zones so they are grouped by language.

There are quite a few Japanese players and guilds. You likely don't realize they are there because they play in the Oceanic time zones.
There’s a Japan server? How do you access it?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how the Japanese server is doing?
It launched back in 2016, but since then I havent heard much from it.
I imagine a game like this would have a pretty hard time on the Asian market for following reasons: No super-size boobs, boobs not revealed enough, boobs not jiggly enough, gameworld not overly cute and cheesy. Not to forget that female characters look older than 12.
But still I wonder if its even up at all
Half of my friend list is filled with Japanese people and other Asian people. Not sure how you miss them.
Also, to my knowledge, megaservers are zoned. Might be why.
