What are your limits on Solo play? (Difficulty)

Yeah world bosses are weird. Sometimes I decide to attack one solo and feel like I wasted the food I used before the fight started because I really didn't need the boost. Other times I ask for help and get told no one wants to go near that boss ever again because it's such a nightmare to kill.

The gargoyle boss in Rivenspire for example, where you have to kill not just the boss but two 'living statue' enemies which are also boss level. It's entirely possible for a small group to do it, but surprisingly difficult for a world boss, especially in what used to be a mid-level zone.

Normal Maelstrom is probably the hardest content I have completed solo.

Delve and public dungeon bosses are no problem.

There are plenty of overland bosses that there is no way, but I did defeat the Woodblight myself recently. (Had to because there was buried treasure at her feet.) Not the strongest boss--obviously--but it made me feel good and I might try another lower level one some time.

Everything up to group dungeon, anything with a "1" in name, not a "2". Not limited to "first few areas of each alliance". Normal Maelstrom is doable, though, but I don't do that, it's boring AF.

I chose vMA because although I have soloed some vet group dungeons I have never soloed dlc dungeons.

I did that one city in Craglorn by myself once when I was around CP430. The one that you have to enter through the sewer. I haven't tried much else solo and I'm CP 507 now. I dont think I could handle world bosses yet either. I think my offense is fine probably but since I wear mainly light armor I still feel too squishy.

Flip, how do you change your vote? I didn't see veteran group dungeons and thought that "harder group dungeon" meant veteran. Haha I am able to solo most of the veteran base game dungeons, which don't require a second person to move forward.

I've soloed a few vet dungeons, too, but I don't really have the heart for the tedium of getting solo mechanics down on harder ones.

It's a bit of a mixed bag, really. Never ventured VMA or vet dungeons solo, and I can go some harder normal ones solo, but not all. nMA is quite fun, but not really a challenge. So is my limit the final one I can complete our the first one I cannot, where I stop winning?

vMA is the hardest that I'm willing to do. I have solo'd a few of the easier vet dungeons, but I really don't have any interest in doing that.

DLC Dungeons, Trials, Vet Group Dungeons

I've soloed a few vet dungeons, namely Tempest Island, Darkshade Caverns, Elden Hollow. Obviously, not all vet dungeons are soloable due to mechanics requiring atleast 2 players or more. However, I've also gotten Flawless Conqueror on vet Maelstrom...that was pretty hard, but I think it was harder than soloing these vet dungeons.

I can also solo some vet dungeons, but depending on which one, those are actually harder than VMA. VMA is a different playstyle entirely to soloing vet dungeons. I cannot solo any of the DLC ones however; but I haven’t really made it a thing to try - since I mainly play a healer or a tank at the moment, and my time is limited.

Other - the vet trials where no one brings a stamina dps. Hell I was going to join a guild after posting a 50k 6m parse and they said that's great, what other dps do you have? I said just this one and they said no problem you just need to make a new mag char and level it up instead.

F that. And if the necro trials are the same mag bs I'm going to be quite disappointed.

I tried VMA last year but quit rather than figure out how to beat Round 5.
I did nMA once long ago, and then a couple more times for last year's event.
I find public dungeon bosses to be really easy in most cases; if I die (as for example I did once on the Sload in Summerset) I figure it's because I'm not paying attention.
World bosses, even in the base game, are a mixed bag. Some I find straightforward to solo. Others, however ...

I don't enjoy arenas, didn't enjoy nMA, so haven't yet tried vMA, though I guess I'll get around to it someday.

I tried soloing vet Wayrest Sewers once and it was painfully tedious, and in any case I couldn't even get past the final boss. DLC World Bosses can be really hard for me; I've managed to solo a few but it's not something I take lightly.

Not actually completed vma yet. But to my own defense i've hardly tried. Spent about an hour in total in vma. Got to the 4th or 5th round i think, got stuck and quite frankly just lost interest. Planned on going back but ended up accidentally deleting the quest and thus lost my progress.

But getting frustrated in video games has never been something i enjoy doing. But i know some players love that sort if thing and more power to them.

Completed nma with ease, total cake walk.

As for trials, i didn't think it was possible to solo. Or is it?

I'm not a competitive gamer, and I'm not interested in measuring myself that way. Measure me by my creativity, and I'm epic level. That's all I really care about. I'm not interested in things like vMA or soloing group dungeons, so I have not tried either. I'm pretty confident that I could, but I just don't care.

However, vMA is an instance meant for solo'ing, so in that respect, I don't think it's very comparable to the other options. I haven't tried to solo many group dungeons, I did do nSCP a while ago, and today nFV on the PTS, and I'm really pleased for clearing those, but on the other hand there are people out there who solo'ed the last boss of vet FL, so it pales in comparison

Dungeons, normal or veteran. For one you're not supposed to solo them. They were meant and built for a group, so naturally it is difficult to solo them.

VMA. Stuck on the last arena, last boss. I can solo (and have solo'd) world bosses, public dungeons, and some normal dungeons (usually for gear I want but don't want to pester people to group up for). I'm not interested in trying to solo vet content or trial content.

100% this because most trials can't be solo'd unless you have a super overpowered tanky build, and some can't be solo'd by anyone due to mechanics.

i stopped at public dungeons, ive done maelstrom arena before but i dont know which difficulty any more or even on which character.
Ive never tried to solo group dungeons.

I solo a lot in PvP though im not very good there either

I tried soloing some trial bosses while drunk. nSO got to 60% but it was so boring and time consuming.
