Anyone have any build suggestions or set suggestions for a good healer in bgs? I want to go for really tanky but can still put out good heals I used to run wizards riposte and seducer but its not a good set up as it once was I've only also messed around with syrabane and desert rose but I still can't find anything that fits what im going for.

I used to run ult generation build with robes of the hist, alteration mastery, blood spawn and heroic slash + prisim passive. And spam restro ulti.
Ultimate generation was quite high in melee range.

    What class?

As a full healer I prefer heavy fortified brass as a NB, if you’re another class I’d go with heavy armour master. For the other set I like bright throat but there are options.

I wouldn’t run light armour until the upcoming patch where buffer of the swift is getting a buff and looks good. With light armour you’re too easily bursted down.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

It wouldn't matter honestly but i always used a templar

For Templar I run Fortified Brass, Desert Rose, Earthgore, for Warden Fortified Brass, Lich, Bloodspawn and for NB Pariah, Transmutation, Earthgore. Generally I would go for one tank and one sustain set for all classes except NB, for NB you can go for two tank sets or a support set, sustain is just far too good anyway.

Monster: Earthgore, Bloodspawn, Symphony of Blades*
Team Utility: Transmutation, Gossamer, Spell Power Cure, Curse Eater*
...Your Choice of Defensive or Sustain

    Defensive: Pariah, Impreg
Sustain: Shackle, Desert Rose, Lich, Warlock

...Backbar: Blackrose perfected restoration staff (must have in my opinion).

    Example Build:
Earthgore, Transmutation, Shacklebreaker, Blackrose Perfected Resto on backbar
Symphony of Blades, Spell Power Cure, Pariah, Blackrose Perfected Resto on backbar
    (any combination really)

    * indicating new sets, still needs more testing.
Also, nice thing about most team utility sets is that they only require one bar and typically the sustain/defensive sets require both. Exception being lich or warlock.

What do you think about steadfast hero combined with curse eater next patch?

alot of people have asked me from all sides about my build, its a sneak healer, that sorta works in a strange way...

5-1-1 Heavy 33K hitpoints 3.6k-4.5K magica regen, 1.0k health regen, 1.5k stamina regen...
5 Willows paths, 5 Lich, 2 Troll King... all items tri enchants...

Frontbar, resto staff... Clense IV, Energy Orb IV, Shadovy disguise IV, Race against time IV, Concealed weapon IV.. Life giver IV
Backbar, 1h/shield... Resoving vigor IV, Symbiosis IV, Shadovy disguise IV, Cripling grasp IV, piercgin mark IV... VeilofBladesIV

My main healing is done with psijik symbiousis IV, it turns me light and heavy attacks in to heals, either tossing out hots, or a heavy channeled beam heal... many that know me, se me blink in and out of and make me a elusive target... im not the best healer around, but i heal enough to keep people that know what they do up...

Many do not understand how i work and i get alot of questions how i can heal and be in stealth, there is many reasons for that, but maninly is NB reverting back into stealth if not "casting", this build relies on stealth speed, magica, magica and magica, the beam ticks for 5k and can crit every sec but gulps magica, you also have to hit your friends, there is no skill less auto healing people, you have to use the light and heavy attack to hit your friends... its hard to explain, but those that know me on AD, probably can atest it works in a strange way, and people on DC and EP that ask me how the build work, i gladly explain, but ultimatly i think most dont want to run this build due to its demanding active focus...

For healing what class you play matters A LOT. For anything but a NB using shadowy disguise I’d go vampire for mist form.

Basicly build for survivability first and duel a DK until you can survive their burst 1v1 indefinitely without using an ultimate, until you can you’re useless in PvP. If you can’t keep yourself alive how are you going to heal your team?

After that figure out what healing tools you’re going to use. Then build around passives and buffs: you want to have as many buffs as you can: mending, sorcery, etc... Then have enough recovery. After that it all comes down to practice.

Curse eater is garbage, the magicka return could be nice if you’re with all magicka classes though. Use efficient purge and up your magicka recovery if you want to help cleanse debuffs, but as a templar I don’t think you’ll have enough recovery to do it well.

How is it trash? A lot of people use dots and debuff sets/skills which would be useless against someone who runs curse eater combined with steadfast they would also have 30℅ damage reduction.

Someone did some solid research on how many debuffs they had on average in pvp. I think the average number was 12 with a 6 second or so duration. They nerfed curse eater so it has a 6 second cool down or something like that, I wouldn’t use it outside dueling a heavy dot spec.

A better option would be to use efficient purge. The mana cost is high, but it’s a good ability. It strips two debuffs and puts a 6 second buff that halves the duration of all negative effects.

Curse eater might have been okay, but people cried on the forums about it so they nerfed it. People only saw ‘two of my effects will be gone’ instead of seeing the big picture. There was a reason for the extra magicka return on the set, just stripping two effects would have been weak BEFORE the nerf.

Major protection is good but it’s a named buff, meaning if you get it from somewhere else it doesn’t stack. If you purge a lot it’s probably still good though.

Why do people recommend impregnable armour? I tried using it and it was horrible. I always play non-cp cyrodiil and BGs, is it good in the CP cyrodiil campaign?

Use this set up you will do great as templar. Don't make the mistake of using heavy armor you need sustain. And you need to be vampire for elusive mist.

Heavy chest, medium legs, rest light for undaunted passive. All gear impen. Sword and shield with resto staff.

    5x fortified brass
    5 x wizards riposte
    Monster set is bone skeleton

With this set up you eat a lot of damage like 30+ on both resistances with your time up.

With this build you will last a long time in fights escape through elusive mist plus use line of sight people will get very very annoyed with you.
