What’s a good snipe build for no cp?

Trying to figure out how to be one of those annoying snipe spammers.

Mudguard

You need to pick "snipe" from the bow skill tree and then put it on your skill bar. Don't forget to use it.

Slack

Equip a bow, put at least 2 skills on your bar (Snipe, cloak) and take any medium armor you have

All mediums, all divine. Stamina enchants on all armour and weapon dmg on your jewellery. You must commit everything to damage.

You will be squishy as hell but that's the trade off to make it anyway viable and its a big trade off. You never see the snipe complainers mentioning that. They think your have your cake and eat it but if you get caught in melee range you will blow up.

I don't think they are being sarcastic. It's a bugged skill, desync has been acknowledged by ZOS and is being looked at its kinda a fair cop that that kinda question

serious advice: don't become one of them, slot detect pots and wreck them hard, that's what they need, what they deserve.

take a look at @Zeromaz posts. He just recently authored a post on a bow/bow Battleground no-cp build and he is widely regarded as a giant pain in the ass for bg's. (always with love ZERO MAZ!!!)

If's and buts are easily avoided on a sniper who can permanently hide in stealth 40m away - Besides, everyone knows they get banged quick if you get them in melee range, I don't think there's many saying they don't.

Any basic damage sets will get you by. Spriggans, marksman, Hawkeye are all good choices. For monster set you can go bloodspawn for a bit more survivability and regen or one piece veil and one bloodspawn or Kena or kraghs. You can go all divines for a ton of damage but no survivability or go impen which I recommend if you don’t know what you’re doing. All medium or 5 medium 2 heavy. If you’re really stuck on sustain you can trade a damage set for bone pirate tatters. Warrior mundus stone, try and get at least 8k physical penetration.

But I’m just going to warn you. Despite what some people say bow/snipe builds are not currently very viable at a higher tier of gameplay. No matter what you must rely on health desyncs and lag associated with snipe, and hoping you get this for the kill or pick off an already dead target before you must run away to regain resources. You will be universally hated because not only do you contribute very little to most fights but you’re also kill stealing and piggy backing off of the skill of others for the most part. It’s considered a no skill playstyle. The floor is very high and the ceiling is low so to speak. There’s not much to learn and you can’t go very far. This is my opinion and I have built and played a bow build so I can try and give a fair assessment.

LOL I knew this thread would be like this, truthfully i dont play one nor am going to, i just asked the question because it was easier to ask for myself then a friend.

i know they are squishy as hell, every time i get on one with my magplar they die.

You could also encourage your friend to play a group-oriented bow stamNB, that doesn’t rely on exploiting a bug or spending the duration of the match in stealth and ditching their teammates...

I recently revamped my magNB as a stamNB, as the wood elf’s upcoming passive changes look pretty good for an aggressive roll-dodging archer, and dunmers are garbage tier now for magNBs. Even without golding out my bow or using gold glyphs (still in the testing phase, so I didn’t want to waste money unnecessarily), it’s having a lot of success so far in BGs. 5x Marksman, 5x Spriggans, 1x Kena, 1x Domi. 5 medium, 2 heavy, 5 impen, 2 well-fitted. The key to bursting down your opponents is creative use of Relentless Focus as an execute, combined with Poison Injection. When your enemy is in execute range, you simply make sure that poison injection is up, then pop cloak and Relentless proc for a big burst of damage. I may even transmute one ring to bloodthirsty to help with executes. Spammable is Crushing Weapon (synergizes well with Relentless and bow builds in general), Bombard for CC (really underrated skill — immobilizes several targets and applies a snare afterward). I have incap on my front bar but hardly ever use it; I prefer to save teammates with Soul Siphon on my backbar. Use Piercing Mark for fracture, and to reveal no-skill gankers. Rally, Vigor, Leeching Strikes, and Shuffle for survival.

Voila, a strong, group-oriented bow build with no cheese, no cloak spam, and no health desyncs. I’m really enjoying it so far.
