Do not think of it as mud. Think of it as a smelly, slimy, ball of doodoo. You are most welcome. :)

    C'mon... it's just a bit of fun ! :)
I just wish that DK wings could reflect mudballs.. that would be hilarious :D

Last new life festival I had some great mudball fights with other players... ducking & weaving around LOS to avoid while trying to land a mudball on the other guy who is doing the same :D

The people who lost their mind and get really angry about the mudballs are the most fun to mudball.

In fact, they are pretty much my primary target.

I think it is just disruptive to an otherwise cool game. Simply put. It takes you out of the fantasy of your game. Not cool.

The rest of the game keeps the peace and that should be maintained across the board.

I mean alright! So, it is mildly humorous. In fact it didn’t really bother me until I was thinking about it later and it became clear to me that they really can’t have any interaction that isn’t mutual between players or it has the potential to destroy the game.

So I came off wrong. I just wanted to know what other people thought about player to player contact in the game. Admittedly I was not very successful in doing this. All it produced were some threats and childish cracks. I was hoping for more of a discussion but I think I was too heated about how stupid it was. Oh and no, I haven’t posted anything about this ever before. I hadn’t even created a forum profile during the festival! Again i was trying to talk about player to player contact, not so much the mud ball. Quite unsuccessfully I would add. Sorry.

To all the people who made threats, you are the reason why we should not have any non-mutual interaction between other players.

As to how long I’ve played the ElderScrolls games. Since they first came out. Oh and I’m not referring to ESO I’m referring to Daggerfall up through Morrowind, Oblivion, then Skyrim, including all the content they added in between those, then the first eso which I did not like, so I quit playing. Then I decided to give it another go just recently and I liked what they had done with the place. With possible exception to the infamous mud ball and I am sure this ridiculous crow thing. Those things aside I think they have a really cool game now.

Like any PvP attack, you just have to learn the counter - cherry blossoms in this case.

Seriously though, I find it immature and annoying as well . . . though not as passionate about it as OP. Just a mild irritant like getting hit with any one of numerous buffs while trying to dye an outfit. . . .
cherry blossoms is an area effect, fun to use in crowded banks.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Personally I am happy to pay ZOS to be immune to these b*****d things, I worked for the maintinence crews in a city’s sewer network for three years and I can tell you whatever it is your throwing is definitely not mud!!!!!

A good freind had to stop playing eso because the mud balls set of her anxiety, you see the mental condition reacted to what it perceived as bullying and no amount of trying could convince it otherwise, I realy miss running dungeons with her, she is such a kind hearted soul.....

Some brainless moron in ZOS is deliberately creating tools for the foul little vermin otherwise known as trolls, it’s not f*****g funny and it never f*****g will be!!!!!!!!

Not buying it. Regardless if an electronic mudball in an mmo triggers you and you feel bullied you are going to find real life as you grow incredibly hard.

Throwing mudballs at other players is extremely rude...

We should be throwing pies! Yes! Banana, strawberry and blueberry pies!

And starting a thread calling people garbage and whatever other rude comments you had to edit out isn't cool either. It's an online game and there are always going to be trolls.

Where do you draw the line? Get rid of mud balls, pets, chat, noisy skill animations, mount sounds, or anything else that may trigger someone or ruin their immersion?

Sorry, but that's why they make single player games or you could go with the old saying "if you can't beat them, join them" and who knows you might actually have some fun in the process.

Whoever came up with the mud slinging emote, or whatever it is, is a total piece of garbage. It is really stupid, and even worse that [snip]
You absolutely should not be able to affect other players in any way unless you have both agreed to it! Fricken rediculous!
Remove this insult to an otherwise relatively mature game.
    [Edit for inappropriate remark.]

I challenge dummies slinging mud to duels. One time a fool accepted by mistake and started running. I Fossilized him and ghosted the mudslinger in 2 seconds lol. Must have been in all divines.

Doesn't bother me, to be honest - I just ignore it and carry on as usual.

If you crouch (for example, to steal), pretty sure the animation is cancelled, anyway.

You still have the mud on you for a few secs, though.

Its deeply immature. The last time some random decided to mud-ball me, I got out my own pouch and threw back. Therein commenced a 5 minute rolling mud-ball fight through the streets of Rawl'Kha; never a word was exchanged and it would be difficult to describe a winner, but it was a great, big, fun, muddy diversion while I waited for some friends to log in!

Nothing wrong with a little immature from time to time, it is a game after all.

If your offended or triggered by having virtual mudballs thrown at you in a virtual world. Grow up and stop being so over sensitive. How the hell do you cope with real life if your losing your mind over this? I pity you.

I was changing out outfit and someone threw some mud at me so I ran up to them and challeneged them to a duel, killed them and they didn't throw anymore. I don't care if they was only level 30 :P

I hated it when it covered you in mud though. So many trolls doing it to people when they where at the dye stations.

Yesss, please! And I'm only partially joking ;)
If you make me sniff your horse's ass at the merchant/crafting station/banker or block any interaction with that damned flappy thing or bear - you get a mudball to the face. Duelling near wayshrine - mudball to the face for both parties involved. Bunny hopping and blasting fireballs or heals while I'm trying to craft - mudball to the face.
And yes, every time I summon my Indrik or hear (again) that ugly flapper respawning in the bank/shop/whatever it gives me mini heart attack. Please let me turn those stupid effects off...
    Yes, I know - I'm a snowflake. Go eat dirt (from a mudball) :P
