Title says it all.

Do we know what the next Crate season will be and when it's going to launch?

    How long before season release does ZOS tend to announce a new season?

    Just asking because it stands to reason, perhaps, that the imminent launch date for a new season might see a reduction in people buying the current season, say to save crowns for the new crates?
    In-game username: Un1korn | Happy member of the PCNA UESP guild (Resident Daggerfall Covenant enjoyer) | Main & basically only character: Crucian Vulpin, Imperial Dragonknight of the Daggerfall Covenant, and Undaunted Bulwark (I tank) | Mountain bike enjoyer and vulpine appreciator | If you know me from PCEU: No | To ZOS: THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME BRING MY HORSE INTO BATTLE!

    Dudes a new dlc is coming out, it'll be then as usual. Crown crates (mostly) release around the same time as dlc with matching items to hype each other up. Be patient and you'll likely see an announcement in the coming weeks. Remember that they don't update on weekends.

    It's worth noting that, since Murkmire went live, Classics 1 has been renamed to "The Steed's Bounty" in-game, though the raw filenames referencing the crate do not reflect this change. I wonder if it's going to keep the same "greatest hits" theme, or if the new name means they changed their minds about it.

    Orly? :open_mouth: That's interesting, I wish we knew more. Since we have the Dragonscale and Bandaari Crates set for this year already, it's strange that two other crown crate seasons are already in the files by the firsr quarter of the year.

    Could this new 'Steed's Bounty' name perhaps mean that it will be a Random Mount pack? Other games have similar lootboxes that drop a random mount from the pool of previously offered mounts, same for pets, costumes, etc... Could that be it? Or perhaps they just named the crates after a mundus stone to give it more flavour and it has nothing to do with mounts. Do we know what Crown Classics Volume 2 has been renamed to :grey_question:

    The Dragonscale crates will come out after the Wrathstone DLC, if they follow the general trend of keeping the old season up for a bit before they launch the new season associated with the DLC. That could be anything from 2 weeks to 1 month after release, if we look at previous DLCs (not counting chapters as they are announced way ahead of time):

    Release date announced __ days before it came out on PC. Crates launched __ weeks after DLC went live on all platforms:
    Murkmire: 14 days --> 4 weeks
    Wolfhunter: 13 days --> 3 weeks
    Dragon Bones: 14 days --> 2.5 weeks
    Clockwork City: 14 days --> 3 weeks

    The problem is that we still don't know when Wrathstone will launch. There are only 13 days left of February, so the DLC could come out literally on the last day of February (28th, potentially 14 days after they announce it in today's ESO Live), or only early March on PC. Then the crates could only come out end of March or even early April if they go with a longer gap like Murkmire. :frowning: No clue basically, I hope they give us some solid dates tonight. :smile:
