Which do you prefer?

Personally you will never see me on anything but a well-bred mare.

same for me, but I think all my characters atm use nonmagical mounts. The most magical one is the zombie horse that my necromancer uses, since it's supposed to be a horse she resurrected herself

Heh irony...I’ll take a rl horse over the ingame horses any day...that hooves audio drives me nuts...will never use any of them in game.

    But I agree...Flashy mounts are where it’s at...Primarily Senche

Normal mounts. I love horses but the new model of horse is horrendous. I like a strong horse mesh like the original one. Why not use that with new skins and saddles? Please?

    I'm more in "realistic" mount.
Don't like that much flashy one.

    Waiting for a Senche :<

I prefer non-horse mounts, but want those to be the same creature I see wild. Flaming, mechanical, or glowing/transparent versions don't appeal at all.

There's also a difference between magical and 'so flashy my eyes hurt'. If it for example levitated without any other special effects, it would still be magical.

Humanoids use horses.. Always. My current character i play uses Frostmane horse so theres a bit of magick there, but it suits the ice theme of her.

Khajit use Senche. My mage Khajit uses Dro*mathra though..

But in general. Humans and elves use horse. Khajit use senche and Argonians use Guar. Thats my mout usage.

Genberally i think theres too many flashy magikal mount though. Would have preferred just normal horses, senches and guar and the senche being hard to get.

Yes. My job was as a stablehand.

I'm one of those weirdos who not only copes with the smell, but actually enjoys it. I especially like sniffing manes.

Looks in static is not so important as looks while sprinting, cause you spent 95% time on mount in sprint. And here mare run animation is.. not bad, but not great either. That's why for horses I prefer flashy ones, which hide a lot of animation details, psijic horse comes as a good example.
Most smooth and enjoyable are senches.. frostbane one is my number 1 from all.
Guars and wolves are funny, though small.. good for smol races ;)
Bear animation is awesome, but tiresome too.
Stag is meh, really, just horse with horns, maybe if they give it indrik's animation it will feel better.

All the animations riding senches, wolves and bears are buggy as hell in elf and humans.

The char is floating and riding like a *** weirdo when you look in a side view.

Prefer realistic ones, or at least mounts that make sense.

Alliance War horse, matches the Emperor costume.

White Mane horse for my sturdy Nord DK.

MagSorc is using the lightning atro guar because she's a Dunmer and she summons atronachs.

My lusitanian warrior uses a Brown Paint horse, simple and somewhat historically accurate.

Flashy red and blue guar for a flashy blue Argonian mule.

Sar-m'Athra for my khajiit from the time she was masquerading as Dro-m'Athra, and the only other feline I have is the Nightmare Senche which matches even less. I need a plain one.

Winter Garland Dapple Gray because jingle jingle jingle.

Dwemer Spider for my dwemer-themed, fabrication sheath-wearing test subject. It fits.

We had a lot of animals, but no pigs. It was a therapy stable, not a working stable.

    Horses, goats, chickens, and ducks.

I wish i could choose the speeds my horse uses though.. I would like trot be as it is from beginning with no bonuses.. I would also like somewhat more upeight ridin posture and lady style if so chose.. Would be cool as part of Dutchess personality for example.

Normal walk i would like something litle faster than whats the base speed but not as fast as its on full bonus.. Maybe 30% there would be great.

I prefer non-magical mounts fit for climate. A camel in Craglorn and Alikr, a guar in Morrowind and Shadowfen, a wolf-lizard in Murkmire. Horses for High Rock and Summerset, dwarven spider for CWC, etc. I hope I'll get a Frostbane mount for Skyrim one day...

It depends on the character. I buy mounts I like (and if I get free ones I only use the ones I like) but each character will use a subset of those based on what suits them. They use horses most of the time, if only because I have more horses than everything else put together, but will switch to guar, wolves, senche, a sabre cat, indrik, or elk based on the character, the terrain and what I feel like putting them on today.

The only magical ones I've gotten are the Psijic Escort Charger and Psijic Horse Exemplar, which are easy to find a use for since my sorcerer's backstory was already that he was raised on Summerset and studied with the Psijics, and some of my other characters joined the order through the story - so it's not out of the question they'd learn to summon the mounts, and some of them certainly have a flare for the dramatic. I guess the indriks are magical too, but they're also animals you can find in the wild so it's not surprising some people would try to tame and ride them.

Horses and Senche-cat mounts, as The Gods intended.

What about camels? Those actually are used as such IRL. I will buy the camel if I ever make a Redguard.

I despise flashy mounts, and I'm not a fan of gigantic ones, either. I prefer non-flashy 'realistic' mounts, BUT, I mean 'realistic' according to the game. Guar and Senche are realistic in Elder Scrolls, so, to me, they're realistic as mounts.

I like the normal horses, but I don't care for their hoof sound fx. Senche are my favorite, because the animation of the ride is smooth and quiet. I like most of the Dwemer ones, but I don't actively use any of them.

No glowing. No sparkling. No outrageous color schemes. Zero interest in the detestably gaudy Apex mounts. Which is good, because then I don't have to try (and fail!) to get any of them. At least it's often much easier (and much cheaper) to get the 'normal' mounts!

I wonder if they used coconuts when they recorded the sound.

I also wonder what type of swallow carried the coconut.
