Nova one shot?

Title says it and I'm still baffled, the same person consecutively 1 shotting me with 29k novas. How is that possible?

Gravity Crush can do a ton of damage- as it should, since it’s a synergy activated from a one time use ground based ultimate. Don’t stand in the nova.

Is it Nova, or Gravity Crush? They come from the same skill, but are two very different things.

This. Because Nova is a damage over time skill. It does have a synergy that provides more damage that instant, but I doubt it is a one shot

I got a clip of the gravity crush one but didn't get the others, you are probably right though and it was the other morph, but in 4 years of playing I don't remember it ever hitting thay hard.

I only play in non CP so my experience is from there. It is extremely difficult to get the damage from Nova that high. You would have had to sit in it for the entire duration, and the Templar would have to be a very high damage build. Gravity Crush on the other hand can easily be gotten that high if the person hitting the synergy gears for it right. The guys I run with can hit my Gravity Crush in the mid to low 20k range non crit very easily. Highest I've ever seen was a 46k Gravity Crush when one of the guys I run with had Emperor.
