Don’t see why ZoS feels the need to continuously exclude 2/3 of its player base. Not sure about PS4 or other Xbox users, but I can see a twitch app in the store.IwakuraLain42 wrote: »Reistr_the_Unbroken wrote: »Oh yay, yet another thing for pc players. You'd rather have us PC players not have itt? Blame twitch and Microsoft and Sony (probably mostly Sony) for not getting their siht straight.

Ya I would. You cant blame everything on sony and Microsoft, plus zos should have known how it would be having a game on multiple platforms..
Its pretty disgusting how zos treats the console community. Pc players get add ons and zos wont even give us the most basic QOL updates, such as lorebooks and skyshards build into the map, to try to level the playing field. PC players get every update earlier than console and zos wont try to time it right so we both can get it at the same time.
PC players get twitch drops and zos wont try to do something for us so we can also get something. PC players have much better game performance in every aspect of the game and zos doesnt seem to acknowledge the difference or try to make it better. And theres still more. I wonder if any zos employees even come on console anymore. I wonder why they even bothered to put this game out on console. And i wonder why they wont allow console to PC transfers if they know how bad things are on console..
So ya I would rather they didnt have them at all for anyone but dont worry they wont do that.

But seriously all I actually wanted to achieve with this post is a linear timeline of streams.

I feel your pain, but you do understand that there are things, by the very open nature of pc things, easier done for pcs compared to consoles, right? You're playing on a completely locked down system by your own choice. It will always be worse for you... You're depending on two online services to run. Just ask steam players... They hate this thing too.
As for QoL improvement, you're getting them, aren't you? They are always coming. I play on a very low spec PC, and having these updates is just as important for me so I can get rid of my add-ons. I agree with shards and lorebooks... Those could be given to console map at least. Can't be that hard. And a mini map.
As for testing everything ahead, pts is literally a second install of the game. ESO gets 90GB of my HDD. Pts takes another 90GB. There's no shared file. This is a huge draw back that console people, by the locked down nature of the systems, won't be too eager to accept, since expanding storage, trivial as it may be, is not something most people are comfortable doing. Setting up pts for a handful of people to try may simply not be worth the cost. It's an entire new server, maintenance, copies and wipes... Not too simple. Gotta be worth it for feedback... And that requires lots of people having easy access to it, which just does not happen for consoles.
As for having twitch and knowing "it would be a multiple platform", the twitch crate thing came yeaaars after. After thoughts, wasn't designed from the beginning. The whole crate system didn't exist with the game when it came out. Not even with one tamriel. Crates are really recent. Drops, even more so. Twitch also came to consoles a lot later. Twitch is very much a PC thing. Sadly for you, you chose the platform that's systematically in the past. Consoles are not on the edge anymore, haven't been for a decade now, even longer. You can't expect things to move as fast for consoles considering "generation cycles" are even a concept that exists, let alone when you think this cycle is over half a decade long. Things move slow for consoles, and it'll get worse.
And this is not, by any means, a pcmr thing. I hate that with a passion, but the truth of the matter is that gaming on PC is better. Simple. Whether because Sony people are buttheads, Microsoft people don't understand what gamers want or Nintendo lives in a bubble, the real good place to game is on PC, and you're suffering for having made a poor choice when you first bought the game. I'm truly sorry for it, btw, but it was, ultimately, your own choice. None of the problems I cited are new. They were here in 2014. They were here in 20-whatever.
As a final note, when the game was released on console, they did allow for account port, so it is doable, and they could very well allow for a port back, even if they charged for it.

You seem like you mean well but you are wrong about a lot of things here.
I understand fully that things are easier to do for zos on PC.. I never said anything about getting the PTS. I own the game on PC as well. I bought it for the pts and might have to switch because the performance on console is so ABYSMAL compared to PC. Night and day. But putting the pts on console would be a mistake. It would take away from what little resources and ability zos has to fix this game.
What i said was updates. Pc gets updates earlier. Like elseweyr. PC can get it on may 20th "early access" but there is no early access for us. We are waiting til june 6th (i think).. And as for playing on a locked down system.. Zos chose to put a game on these locked down systems knowing it was not meant for it. Knowing that it would not be as easy to do things on console as it is on PC. They did this just like some other companies. The difference is zos pretty much abandons us while other companies treat all platforms equally.
And the QOL changes i am talking about are lorebooks and skyshards. Performance is the biggest issue, but if they refuse to fix it (or acknowledge the difference in performance between PC and console) then at least give us those maps. I have leveled on PC. It is a massive advantage. And with this new zone guide it would have been the perfect time to put it in, but still 4 years later and we dont have it.
And i stand by what i said about the twitch drops. This is the same thing with putting the game on console and giving earlier updates to PC. Zos knew it would never be as easy to do anything with their console community as with their PC community. If both groups cant have it then why should one? Why not come up with something different for console? Because they dont care.
At least thats what it looks like to me. And as for the transfers, if i recall they let PC players transfer to console at launch. Thats not what i mean. I mean after a game has deteriorated to a nearly unplayable point, at least for pvp players, then why not allow us to go to PC. Even if we have to own a copy of both. Ive been playing on PC for a bit and the difference is unreal. Sure you lag a bit, but its nothing like console. The choppiness and skill delay are things that are almost always there, that is not an issue on PC.
Honestly, if they made performance similar to one tamriel or other updates, then I would be fine. I dont care if they want to neglect console on updates and twitch drops, but dont neglect us on performance.
Hey, I never participated in twitch drops before so forgive me for my noob question. Are the drops guaranteed? I mean I just link the accounts, watch 10 mins on designated time and bam, I get the crate next day? Ir is it some time of lottery in which I might get the box but it's not certain?
