Is it good even without being a DK?
And how does it perform in pvp?

Taunting a player is not enought to proc it in PvP.

So sergeants mail does same damage like doylemish without having to hit the target while hes stunned/immobilized?

the damage is not the same
For Doylemish it is 12000/7 = 1700 DPS
For sergeant it is 1600/1.6 = 1000 DPS

And for Doylemish you dont need to immobilize target, you can just taunt it, i.e. with Ransack
