Stones are great if you need a lot of light.

    No light

    One stone:

Both stones in one place gives white light:

And those who use Essential Housing Tools will like switch, I think.

Is the switch interactive? If so, what does it do?

It just switches. On pictures it's in both states. Switched on also has some light.

Don’t buy the stones! I bought them last time and they don’t work most of the time.

Probably worth to mention these two stones are not switchable light sources.

There is a switchable version of the Culanda stone (or at least similar to it):
    Name: Veiled Crystal
    Category: Lighting, Enchanted Lights
    Source (Furnishing): Achievement Furnisher: Skywatch
    Cost: 5,000 Gold
    Requirements: Sunder the Third Veil

The stones can actually be a little too bright. But on the whole that's a great problem for ESO lighting to have. I bought a lot of them last year, and am glad to have them.

Stones are perfect for psijic Villa.
I have two in main hall, one at entrance and one in the huge bath downstairs.

My main toon WAS a tall and foxy redhead - now she has been gamma-irradiated and has green skin and black hair. 3 other characters I only use for writs. Can't be bothered to create multiple toons - EXCEPT now my WW is getting spooled up for Cyrodiil - Blood For The Pact! IRL cranky sometimes redhead chick at large in Las Vegas, NV

I went ahead and bought this and the Luxury Vendor Culanda Stone. The Veiled Crystal Culanda light is much brighter and lights a larger area so is something to consider for type of mood you want to set.

Edit: confuse which was which when playing with them in my house.

I tried using a Culanda Stone in my Velothi Reverie house in the basement workshop. I used a single crystal in the middle near the ceiling and the light bled through the solid floors all the way to the second floor lighting the areas. For me at least I don't think they will work well in the multiple story mid-sized houses. I'm interested if this is the case in other houses as well.

I find it the other way around, the Veiled barely makes a puddle of light where the Culanda casts a bright glare that spills out of a large room. (curse you, you edited it! Oh well, I can find a spot for the Veiled. Meanwhile my nascent villa dining room is finally well lit, as is the bathing room).

Time to spend yet more of my monthly 100K bonus ... :D

    Sorry about that.

They do seem to work better in large tall rooms. I put one in each of my Psijic Villa's turret rooms to good effect.
