What would be the ESO equivalent? My vote goes to: You can't <do anything> while in combat, where "in combat" equals ten minutes after combat actually ended. Discuss, and nominate your most grievous ESO annoyance.

I think it would be people that write "discuss" at the end of their discussion forum posts. This seems to be a thing of the younger generation. The people that write "tbh" or worse the real life "please advise" at the end of professional emails.

Is it weird that I heard that in the narrators voice as soon as I saw the topic? (Maybe not, if you consider last time I played Baldur's Gate was about 2 weeks ago.)

And yeah, I think 'you cannot mount in combat' is the nearest ESO equivalent. Or, although it's visual, a random 3 second loading screen in the middle of a town.

I much prefer "discuss" to "That's my 2 cents" - why even put that at the end of a post, it makes no sense and adds nothing to the post.

But forum-wise it's "toons" that annoys me more than anything, along with "rouges" and "trails".

As for ESO itself, it's great apart from the trading system and even that doesn't annoy me as such, I just don't bother with it.

I see nothing wrong with "please advise" as long as it's a proper use and not a petty or worse outright idiotic subject.

I'm guilty of TBH, but only use it when people start assuming I'm being hostile, which seems to happen quite often on the internet.

You cannot mount in combat even though you haven't been in combat since you accidentally hit that squirrel ten miles back.

How about them guild banks, where you have to wait eons for it to load, sprinkled with a liberal amount of frantically swapping between your various banks in the vain hopes that swapping back to the one you're trying to access will make it load?

Why thank you mail system, for promptly delivering something I bought two hours ago.

tfw you go up to harvest a node on your horse, but then someone swoops in and snags it before you can dismount because even though you're clearly interacting with it to be forced to dismount and are therefore 'using' it, it doesn't actually tie that node to you until you're actively ytanking that stuff up to shove into your bags

I love it, too, when I'm riding around Tamriel and my mount, which can leap over giant stones and fallen trees and even some smaller characters, inexplicably trips over a pebble the size of a stamp and loses all of its current momentum. Great stuff.

Oh my, I so wish I could kill her permanently...

But then, there is also "Requesting character load"... For f'ing 5 minutes beforet he actual loading starts. Or "logout" that does nothing and has to be clicked several times before something actually happens. Or the infinite loading screens.

I have just come back to the game after a very long time away (about 3 years).

Some things haven't changed since Beta. These are:-

1. Error messages on login that do not have anything to do with the reason you can't log in. For example - Can't connect to the internet, check your connection. When you know you are connected because on your second screen you are reading the forums.
2. Loading screens/Loading times..........Don't need to say anymore about those.
3. Trading system.... I really hoped that this would have been changed by now or at least added a general Market Place for general use.
4. Lack of communication from Zos when something goes wrong.

Those are the things that annoy me the most and after launch they are still with us.

On the other hand I love all the new content.

Well another MMO does have Minsc and Boo but not quite the same as the original game that brought those characters to life.

Many MMOs do have something where it states waiting for group to enter a specific area, like a boss battle. The closest thing ESO has to that is accepting the Q with a count down to it. Other games have something similar; I rather it just be instance without a counter as I did Q up for the content and I should be ready when it pops. .

Reminds me of how Everquest worked. In raid zones, after combat ended, you still had 5 minutes before you were truly out of combat. Resource regen would not reach true OOC until that 5 minutes timer elapsed.
