Suggestion to reduce the rage over the Rapid Maneuvers QOL nerf

Rapid Maneuvers is a major QoL skill in PvE (and also for casual PvPers). For some reasons that I think pertain to what happens in large PvP fights, its functionality is being nerfed for everybody. So questing, mat farming, moving through delves, escaping guards, etc. are all going to be less fun.
I have a simple suggestion to avert that problem: Make one morph of Maneuvers have the old functionality, but be restricted to targeting yourself only. An associated cost reduction would be appreciated but is not required.
