So there I was happily running along questing, enjoying my time in the game as a "new" player. Then along came another players who's name i won't mention , he met me in the middle of the road with a really cool looking emote and what I thought was going to be my first encounter with an actual Rpers, all I got was this in a whisper : "You do know that playing an orc nightblade is going to get you blacklisted from just about every guild in the game and that I am wasting my time leveling one. " He then left and left me wondering if that was true. I tired to ask the player why, but they never responded again. So I decided to come here and ask: Should I reroll and play a "more favored" race / class combo ?

Play what you like and enjoy yourself. Orcs are great stamina warriors and their passives are great too. Even with the upcoming changes an orc nightblade should still be great! Even if you decided to play an Altmer Stamblade that shouldn't discourage you from "having fun". Ignore the rude players and have fun with your fancy orc

    That is quite hilarious actually.

You encountered the new race called road troll.

I think orc is fine for a stam nb tbh

You won't get blacklisted from anything and nothing bad is going to happen.

Edit: There are plenty of anweome people here who would take you in their guild.

Orc is a excellent choice for a Nightblade Berserker build if that is the direction you are going with your character.

Orcs make great night blades! The heck kind of troll did you find? Plus with the new race changes coming soon, you'll be super awesome still so don't worry.

That was sick person, just forgive and forget him. Orcs were ok and now they will be even better for stambuilds with new racial changes.

One of my favourite characters to play is an Orc nightblade. Don't worry about it, Orc is a strong race and stamblade is a very strong class. Sounds like a random troll, you keep at it.

Play what you like. It may not be the best race for pve or pvp, but it would probably be pretty good in pvp. But regardless if you learn the class and learn to play it, you will do fine. It is arguably the strongest class in the game and always stays at the top in pvp and pve.

But i will say, IMO, orc isnt going to be so great next update. I think orc got robbed on its new racial passives, they are so much worse than the ones we have now and so much worse when compared to all the new racials. But even still, if you play it well you will be fine..

Why the health recov loss? They still have speed bonus dont they?

    "Orc
Increases Experience gain in Heavy Armor Skill Line by 15%, extra 10% Inspiration gain → No changes
Brawny: Gain 6% Max Health and Stamina → Increases your Max Health and Stamina by 500.
Unflinching: Increases Healing Received by 5% and 20% Health Recovery → Increases your Healing Received by 4%. When you deal damage with a weapon ability you restore 380 Health and Stamina. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.
Swift Warrior: Increases Melee Damage by 4%, 12% Sprint cost reduction and 10% Sprint Speed → Increases your Weapon Damage by 258. Reduces the cost of your Sprint ability by 12% and increases your Movement Speed while Sprinting by 10%."

It's a free 190 stam recovery, which can be spent into more dmg instead.
It's arguably a slight dmg loss to melee dmg, but it's a huge boost to all physical damage (bows included) to make up for it.
It's a free sprint cost reduction.

Honestly, IMO, it doesn't look bad for Orcs.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Most of my characters since the first time I played this are Orcs, anyone who says Orcs are terrible are usually trolls with nothing better to do than to waste their own time making others miserable.

Trust me when I say orcs can make any class good.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

Orc are an good race and will be an very strong damage race next update.Add that NB does good damage has lots of utility for everything from stealing to sneak attacks in cyrodil.

And no no guilds will disqualify you, ever.
In fact you run over with guild invites, I would have one primary trade. then shop around do you want to do dungeons and raids or PvP.
If PvP you want the guild to be in your alliance for dungeons this dont matter. As you are low level you want pretty social guilds. nothing hardcore.

    ----
A bit personal but who server do you play on? Im on PC-EU
I has run Khajiit healers for years an way worse fit than Orc NB. I have never heard anything about race, I have gotten complaints who ask for more heals there I have focused to much on doing damage or not understanding mecanic in dungeon.
Note that his is the hardest dungeons and we die perhaps 20 times and agree its to hard.
I have gotten question about my title and my gear plenty of times.

And the other guy was an total idiot. The best tank in the game play as an Khajiit, its an race with hardly any tanking benefits
he is in the most prestigious guild. and write the tanking manual.
For damage dealers the difference between the worst and best race for magic damage in 10%.
now how skilled you are depend if you do 2000. or 10.000, at max level you can do above 40.000 if you are skilled enough.
Player skill is the point here.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Pretty much, I would recommend reporting him.

Now i can understand somebody writing *** about another player in an failed dungeon run.
But never ran into racial stuff as Khajiit healer. PvP is another story Dunmer are the bad guys for us Khajiit and we want an focus on the eastern front.

Note that *** like this probably have race meta impacts down the road.
It hurt recruitment and bottom line for for ZoS

Just ignore them, any race can play any class, sure some excel more than others, but if you can make it work and enjoy a specific race, then isn’t that all that matters?

As for blacklisted by every guild, yea talking out his rear. Most guilds I’ve encountered allow you to do things your way, they may of course have some opinions and offer advice but if you perform well and have a personality that fits in well with said guild, chances are they’ll want you to stay.

Hope this helps put your doubts at ease
