How many more character slots should they add?

So the big reveal for the Q1, and Q2 DLC was last week, and during the after show Q&A, Rich Lambert had said "I know there's players out there that are already at character cap... so what we're going to do is, with Elsweyr we're gonna give everybody a free character slot". But he also said "And then we're going to increase the maximum as well on top of that, we're not sure how many yet.." So I wanted to ask how many slots people want to see added. I personally think 2 would be perfect, so that with the free one, you have a chance to play each type of necromancer. In the current game, there are 15 slots, leaving room for 3 builds of each class. That being said, I won't complain if they add more than 2, as I will gladly fill them up as soon as I get them. But how many do you want?

3. People should be able to make a magicka, a stamina and a tank character for each class if they want. With Necro coming around, that's the reasonable number imo.

I'd prefer 9 in total with the free one. The reason being, we would then be able to have 4 characters in each class if we wanted to. I'm sure they won't go that far, and it would push the cap to 24 (may as well make it 25) but it's what I would prefer if they add more than 3 in total.

I think people should be able to make as many characters as they like. Sure, most people won't make more than a few...maybe 10 total? But some people would love to have far more than that and if they're willing to pay for it I don't see any reason they shouldn't be allowed.

More players will buy additional account/s and even more players will subscribe to ESO Plus.

And you present a big issue playing multiple accounts, and buying the game more than once. Not only for players, but for Zenimax. That's far more work for them to do, than to just add more slots. It would be far more of a struggle to manage multiple accounts. Example issues for players being you would have to add anyone you want as a friend on two accounts, you wouldn't be able to transfer gear/funds between the accounts, and collectible items would need to be reobtained. It's 1000x more work, than adding a few new slots.

WHY would you want this? Just...why? Do you just want to pay a lot of extra money (chapters, houses, mounts, costumes, etc, etc, etc) for a new account? Nothing is stopping you from doing this now but not everyone is willing to pay for all the content they've already bought again on a new account just so they can enjoy the new class.

Okay, I get that you're saying ESO+ would be tied to it. But a lot of purchases (the ones I specified) are not tied to ESO+. They don't even transfer between servers if you play both NA and EU so they certainly wouldn't transfer between accounts. Neither would CP, dyes, or outfit styles.

If you want to start over fresh, by all means do so. But don't propose that as some kind of solution for people who like alts.

once Elsweyr releases, base game character slots will be 9, and with crown store buys makes 16 character slots. So i say add 4 more slots for 20 slots in TOTAL.

Indeed, my solution favors the idea of multiple accounts.
I'm not against the idea of adding 2 more character slots with Q2 Elsweyr.
Implementing my solution some time after adding the extra slots can be better.

I'm a levelaholic, and I'd be happy with as many as possible. Whenever I don't raid or PvP, I level. They don't need to be all in one patch, but maybe spread out over 3 times a year, maybe 2 chars each time 1 paid + 1 free would be great = 6 chars in total per year. If some people don't want to use them fine, but some people do want them. if we're willing to pay for slots why don't we have them. The limit for total chars is considerably low for a one server per region mmo.

I could understand not increasing if we had multiple servers in each region and our account purchases and achievements carried over, but there is only one place to play ESO in this region. It doesn't make too much sense to not increase the counts significantly. If you're worried about the extra transactions on the server than maybe the servers should be upgraded.

Even an MMO which has gotten significantly smaller over the years went and got new servers after their 5th year came around. Now the latency there is much better than before. If they can afford it during a downturn in subs and sales, why can't ZOS afford it in the upswing? Especially since they claim 2017 was the best year so far and in 2018 said it was good going once again. It's 5 years now here as well. Maybe it's time for this game to do the same sometime soon. just imho
