How hard is it to become Emperor in PvP?

Many people make it seem pretty easy to do so, especially if you have lots of funds and know the right people.
However, I've heard a lot that an easy way to get Emp is go into Non-CP because no one plays in there (at least on Xbox).

What do you guys think?

You just need to play a lot at the very beginning of a campaign and hope someone else on your faction isnt pushing as hard. Having guild support helps tremendously. In terms of difficulty not that difficult tbh.

I don't even care to be Emp for the various bonuses. I just want the Title(s), costume, and dye. And whatever else comes with it lol.

its not hard in the way you may think, but it will take planning and more than just you. If all you care about is getting emp, go to the campaign that is least populated the day of reset with preloaded quest turn ins at the ready, meaning complete all the dailies and the scroll quest and everything, then turn them in the second you start getting points counted.

Make sure you have the delve buff at all times and repair every wall and door you see. A lot of people forget that resource towers can be repaired after upgrade, so if there is a lul in the action and can't find fights, go and repair, take resources.

You have to basically always be gaining AP as you play, so that when the faction is there to push you are so far ahead of #2 it becomes easier to emp you and have you abdicate than try and catch you.

The current Vivec campaign is almost one week old. The person at the top has close to 7 million AP already. I've got 700k. Unless you've got enough time to dedicate yourself to pvp, the chance of becoming emperor is remote.

I'd like the costume and dye too. Unlikely to ever gain them.

all you really need is about 5 hours and 6 people dedicated to making you emp the day the campaign resets on a dead campaign

As a person who has went Emperor well over 10 times (solo player) best not go to a un-populated campaign unless you've got friends to help you capture keeps and keep in mind that the very same idea people just threw around is not un-common and as such you will face even more resistance that way.

I honestly recommend going to a populated 7 day campaign and do the following (What I always do if I want to go Emperor).
#1 Know the time the campaign resets down to the minute and be on right before it resets.
#2 Before the reset make sure you go to a delve and kill the boss to get the AP buff
#3 If you're good at killing players then go solo as you'll get more AP and won't have to split it among-st your group.
#4 Communicate with zone chat so you'll know where all the fights are or keep an eye on your map.
#5 Literally just keep doing 2 & 3 for hours and you'll get Emperor naturally.

Playing a populated campaign has its downfall but generally people in your campaign will always be doing one key thing for you to get Emperor i.e capturing the Imperial keeps. The only way anyone should ever recommend you going to an un-populated campaign is if you've got a group of 6+ willing to crown you at that campaigns reset.

Edit: Should mention dallies are key but do not go out of your way to complete ones like capturing a town, that should always be passively done while kill count dailies should be consistent. Never sit around and repair everything, you should be communicating with zone chat after major battles which is the only time you should ever repair anything. If you're repairing and a fight is popping at an outpost, then that's a lot of potential AP you just lost.

Not that all difficult if you are someone who likes to put in the effort. Jump on a campaign when it restarts, make sure you have plenty of time to commit to chasing that no.1 spot on the leaderboard and be opportunistic. Having plenty of AP helps so your already stocked up on repairs and siege. Make sure you have that buff on from delve boss. If there is no action happening then make it happen and get involved as when you do become EMP people will expect a lot from you.

I have been Emp twice, you must be committed as getting so close and losing that chase, you might not have that chance or lots of time again. Everyone has a different experience. Best of luck to you!

It's my first week of playing PvP ever and I'm in Shegorath in AD. I was in the top five for a while. I think the campaign ended and I probably finished in fifth place. I'd imagine emporer is pretty easy when you play a lot during the campaign and group and lead a lot. There wasn't any requirement for me other than time. Maybe my experience is non-typical since this is during an event.

Then there are all the stunts you can pull when you can switch to alts and have friends active in all alliances and can pay for the emp. Whole system seems broken as a new player. I think the best thing to do is add some kind of ultimate weapon drop. /s

Well, during the current event, about 10 of my PvP guildies have gotten Emp on the malacath campaign.
My advise, get in a good PvP guild, and do it on a 7 day campaign, and get in when it resets.
I haven't done it personally as I am taking a break atm, but seeing SO many of my guildies get it this week gives me hope.. Lol..

They really should disable the emperor status on the empty flip flop campaigns... you want it than go earn it on populated campaign. It will feel hell a lot better when you achieve it.
