Any issues if I purchase the expansion through GMG?

I have the non steam version, and have normally just bought the upgrade through the eso store, but I just noticed they have a nice discount, and I have another coupon for another discount, but I didn't know if It would be ok to use this version.

Do they just give you a code that you enter in your account?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have bought many games, including ESO, via GMG with no issues

Just check if you are buying a Steam key or not. There are only 2 platforms for ESO on PC, Steam and direct from ZOS.

The description on the site you're buying from should detail what platform it is on. If in doubt, contact GMG.

As long as you buy from a legitimate Etailer, the code you get will work. There used to be a list of authorized Etailers floating around in case your not sure about who is. Although the legitmate ones are usually pretty obvious, like they have been around a long time, dont get large amounts of bad reviews etc.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

BTW, I purchased the expansion last night on GMG. This morning I got an e-mail from ZOS saying that the code had been applied to my account and included a receipt.

Sadly my one experience with GMG wasn't overly positive when I got a game there. Steam said the key was already in use. Fanatical and Humble are the only third party website I ever buy from, but plenty of people use GMG without any issue.

green man gaming is one of the official sites to sell the zos/beth games...i checked that out when i was planning on buying the game originially in spring 2016. I bought the imperial edition at that time for $20us when retail was $80 because they were having a huge bethesda spring sale. So my eso is not on steam either, and i've gotten both MW and summerset thru them, and no issues...keep an eye on them tho' for discounts, and i mean beyond the 12% they currently have there for pre-release. They even sent me a 16% discount code for being a previous customer, and even with both, it'll only bring the price down to about the same that summerset was last year for retail at release. I got a 25% discount last year, and that's when I bought it, after release.

hmm...i don't believe that gmg sells the steam version of the game, that may be where you had an issue...sorry to hear that you had problems like that...so, you may not be able to use gmg for any eso-related purchases in the future either because steam versions and non-steam versions i believe are kinda mutually exclusive, even down to crown purchases. at least that's the way it used to be...

I actualy upgraded my steam version of ESO with GMG summerset code, just have to apply it directly via ZoS account rather then on steam.

been buying games via GmG for years and yeahs. never any issues for me personaly. highly recommend them.

    So....

I bought the expansion through gmg... Am I now just awaiting the key on my gmg account, so that I can then apply it to my zenimax account?

And if so, how long will that take?
