The City shown in the Elsweyr Trailer

When I saw it I immediately asked "What city is that??" So knowing this is Elsweyr and judging by the surrounding environment, from itself being in the Desert and how Tharn and the Khajiit can see it in the distance from a mountain side with some greenery, I'm going to guess maybe it's Corinthe? But some maps I've seen places it still within the Tenmar Forest, so maybe it's actually Orcrest. It can't be Dune cause it's already in the game, and it's a hamlet compared to the city shown, complete with it's own extensive city walls.

I'm also curious about that little Prisoner caravan heading into the city. Everyone's favorite Breton "Hero" is back, but the thing is he's being guarded by Ebonheart Pact Argonians along with Imperial Legion escorts. Is this supposed to imply the War is over?

Those are Archein Guards most likely as they are both heavily armed and associated with a group of Imperials. Archein are a tribe of Argonian slavers who occasionally serve as advisors to the Empire and are affiliated with House Dres. The same guards were also seen guarding a Dunmeri VIP.

The city is gorgeous though! I too wonder what the city may be.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

The Breton hero represents us. As he is a prisoner and all ES games including that expansion start you off as a prisoner, I’m guessing that’ll be the beginning of the tutorial. You create your character in the cage and then an argonian lets you out/the dragon breaks the caravan and you escape

I believe Rich said it was Rimmen somewhere in the twitch post show.

Rich did imply that a Dragon would be involved with the tutorial so youre probably on to something here.

    Lemme guess
You're about to get decapitated for illegally crossing the border, then a dragon appears...

Or in this case, you're about to be decapitated for invading the Imperial City with undead and Daedra, then a Dragon appears.

    They said it's Rimmen. :)

Very excited to get to explore it, it far surpasses what I was expecting it to look like. I knew in Infernal City they called the place beautiful, but dang that was an understatement. Those Tsaesci really know how to build cities!

It looks as though Torval, Corinthe and Senchal won't be in this chapter, since they're focusing on the northern half of Elsweyr. This leaves open future DLC's to be set there, further expanding upon the different Khajiit sub-species and really fleshing out those cities properly. Nobody wants a repeat of Dusk and Cloudrest
So the Dark Elves have weird alien architecture, where people live in mushroom towers and the shell of a giant crab, but the High Elves, the pinnacle of technology, the most magically advanced race in Tamriel, are still stuck in slightly pretty, fairly tall stone buildings? Not even a hint of a glass city? Are stainless glass windows really enough to claim that a city is made of glass?

I think the argonians are just mercenaries as they appear to be the same as in the Morrowind Trailer
