Let's supposed you are in the green team and you stole the relic of the Orange team, but the orange team stole your relic. Now your team has to somehow recover the relic but it happens that the purple team is also attacking the orange team.

I don't do BG's so don't know how they work, but couldn't you grab the Purple relic too while they're occupied with the Orange team?

    u overestimate human brains. alot!

idea of three faction war: the two weaker factions group up against the dominating faction.

reallity of cyrodiil: the two stronger teams spawncamp the weakest.

and than u feel like u should ask a complicated question?

yes you can, but anyways you need your relic back and if you attack the purple team to get another relic then your not making allies to get your objective but yes two enemies.

You killed purple team, so purple team will team up with orange team together. Then both teams can sandwiched your team.

I wouldn't assume that purple would be allies and not attack you. I'd let the fight between purple and orange play out until about half way then bomb them both.

I never said that the purple team is making an alliance with you, what i said is you have to recover your relic but the purple team is attacking the orange team.

You don't need to make friends but sometimes you can use people for your own interest without any compromise.

Orange team's focus is on green, but they are sandwiched between two attackers. At the same time, the are pulled by wanting to get their relic from green, and defend their base from purple. They also want to keep green's relic far back from them, but if they split too much, both units will be out numbered.

Green can just leave orange relic at their base with the one defender, while sending three to go after orange and get thier relic back. They could wait and defend at their base hoping orange will push the full group and bring the relic to them. If orange splits, however, green will need to push or purple may steal their relic.

Purple just needs to smash and grab on orange's relic carrier, and get out of there. In a long fight, it makes sense for them to kill green because their spawn point is farther away. But purple has no reason to help green defeat orange if it helps green earn one point more on the scoreboard.

TL/DR: There are no truces in Battlegrounds. Each group has its own goal, the stronger group wins.

    None of the above.

Purple will only be your ally if Orange is a bunch of lvl 48 twinkled out alts running top tier proc sets with coordination on Discord.

For real though, One of you stay at base and the rest go attack the individual who has your relic. That’s what I do. I’d rather get a stalemate for first place than have my relic runner join the fight. Unless the relic runner is also the most OP. Usually though it’s the newest and squishiest. I grab relics when I’m on a defense character like DK or Warden, I can lock ppl down. So I don’t mind hanging around the altar while the other 3 go hunting.

If you had an option for “you focus on Orange because they have your relic”, I would have picked that.

I'd see that as equivalent to treating Purple as allies, even though you can't count on it, having no coordination with them. You're thus specifically attacking Orange (to get your relic back).

I forget what happens if Purple cause Orange to lose Green's relic (by killing carrier). Does it just revert, or what? In any case it benefits you, so you don't stop it happening.

Once Orange lose Green's relic, there are no longer any reasons to treat Purple as anything but targets.

None of the above. I would attack the orange player that has the relic. Return the relic, then kill any enemy player nearby.
