Since there's no acct migration - something that would ease transition and would be a nice QOL is...

OK you miss achievements and crafting and that stuff but it is a hell of a lot easier than having to grind all those CP again.

Another easy thing to take away and give would be Undaunted / Mage Guild / Psijic levels per char. For a fee.

So basically you would just have to lvl chars like usual; if you changed servers.

With the CP, it would remove them from one server and add them to the other. If you prefer to play multiple severs; just do not buy the CP migration.

With the guild stuff - you could get a service token per guild, per char. Remove from X char EU, and add to X char NA (or however).

I have not thought about it thoroughly or anything; but it could be at least some assistance that doesn't involve migrating a full account of everything on it, and slotting it in on the new server.

What I do not understand is why they didn't do this in a way to make it more readily possible in the first place. I've only played 2 other MMO and they both had server transfers.

I understand that yes, you would lose crown items, gear, achievements, and gold (and gold should be easily transferable too) and all that - but it would be something....?

Or would that also be impossible?

I'm not sure how it's possible that you cannot understand that.

We cannot migrate accounts from one server to another.
To make it easier for re-levelling on a different server, it should not be too difficult to only have to copy one variable; the most annoying one, since it's a flat number - not 100s or more entries in a database, such as a full account would be.

Other things like Mages/ Undaunted /Psijic as well - it's just a level - 10 or whatever. Not all the levels of all the skills etc.

For your first question you are really extremely vague. Account migration from to where? It is meaningless to Zos without the context.

However, I probably have your answer. If from console to PC (or for some crazy reason the opposite direction) Zos has clearly said no. They offered it as a one time deal for those who started their game on PC near launch and opted in during a short window to transfer to console. Never again.

It is likely due to agreements with the console service providers and if that is the case then there is nothing Zos can really do about it.

If discussing just EU to NA then it is because we are already live on both of those servers so there is nothing to transfer. I know because I play on both servers. I also know a number of players who play on both servers and have had no issues.

I read a little past what seemed to be a second point but since it seems tied to the first one, basically all one question. However the organization of thought is vague and a little difficult to follow due to lack of clarity. It probably would have helped if you were clear about what you were asking about from the start.

When money is at stake, anything can be done....Just do like OP said a "small fee" . I gladly would pay $200 just so I could frickin craft more then 4 potions at a time and if its contractual, then fire up them lawyers ZoS...I know through just my crown purchases alone you could get a good one on retainer.

I have in total 1681 CP over NA and EU and am an end game raider in both.

I was perfectly clear about what I want and am asking. However: I am not a programmer, so possibly I didn't write it correctly.

In short: They said LONG AGO that moving accounts was too hard because of how the databases were set up. Going by the PTS and the one time move to console, seems ok if it is done on an empty server - and that is all.

I am saying: OK if the full account is Too Damn Hard then what about a simple thing like ONE VARIABLE? CP is the worst grind - aside from the guild grinds (mage, undaunted, psijic - FG is fine because it just happens with all the daedra etc)

So pay them and they: Move my EU CP to NA and remove them off my EU acct

Also possibly even: Pay them and they move the level 10 mage guild from char X on EU to Char Y on NA.

I am sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Someone already said it wouldn't be any better so whatever I guess.

I have in total 1681 CP over NA and EU and am an end game raider in both.

Since you have so much CP on both I do not see the issue. Even if you are attempting to say you have that much CP between the two servers then you are still in good shape.

Regardless, there is no moving accounts between PC NA and PC EU as our accounts are already on both servers as you seem already aware of.

Further, Zos never said anything about transferring servers would be to hard. They just said they would not build out the required tools to transfer from PC to console or back again as they would not offer this. It is very different and very much irrelevant to PC to PC changes.

If they were able to migrate from PC to console once, I'm sure the could migrate accounts any time. They just won't.

Not that I care all that much, PC for life. But it does pretty much seem that no migration is a choice. It might be that migration is a huge PITA and they just don't want to deal with it, but it's still a choice.
