Should there be a monster set that provides sustain?

We have damage, defensive, healing, support but not much in terms of sustain without equipping two different one piece bonuses. Would you like to see a sustain monster set added? Maybe something like:

1 piece) 129 Magicka and Stamina Recovery.

2 piece) When you block an attack, you have a “X”% chance to boost your Magicka and Stamina recovery by “Y” for “Z” seconds?

(With a cooldown of course)

The “block an attack” could be anything to proc it, that was just an example. Could proc from healing, attacking, or whatever.

Would you like to see it boost the recovery for up to 4 group members for a lower value? Could be used by Tanks or Healers in PvE then maybe.

Let’s discuss! Comment with your ideas!

I can easily see the builds that would use that to become even more unstoppable. But sustain in general needs help.

Engine Guardian and to a lesser extent, Sentinel of Rkugamz provide sustain.

You could argue that any set that increases your overall damage without conditions, like slimecraw, is a sustain set.

A decent set up for sustain for magsorc with consistent, reliable, non-proc dependent dmg, is slimecraw, juli/necro (juli is better) , spinners/Queen's (spinners good flat pen), apprentice mundus, 5/1/1, all divines, 1 large pc health enchant, rest magicka - - at least 30 cp in spell erosion, max mag food/tri stat/witches brew (I'd go tri for defense), 1 jewelry infused with recovery enchant, infused front bar elemental, back bar infused absorb magicka.

That will net easily ~35k dps (depending on rotation) without reliance on rng, and keep magicka above 20% on a 3mil dummy. Not optimized for trials tho, and you quickly over penetrate in an organised group, but fun to try for the raw power.

To answer the question, dedicated sustain monster that doesn't gimp damage would be awesome! Especially if it caters for either max stat.

Engine guardian is not reliable as it sustains a random stat. Even though it never failed me when i tested it in easy content, i will never take it to any really hard content, as one day it will fail you in an unexpected moment which can ruin everything. PvE is about stability and calculations, not a random events

It is absolutely ok for PvP though

Not sure what your asking here OP.

    Stam recovery
    Bloodspawn
    Stormfist
    Swarm Mother

    Magicka Recovery
    Chokethorn
    Shadowrend

Could use another Mag recovery set. But adding in something with BOTH recoveries? It'd become the ONLY set of that kind. Unless they changed all the aforementioned sets. Something else for the second item proc? That could be dangerous for balance imo. Plus I think ZoS would make it so low that it wouldn't be worth wearing. For example. The affliction armor set. Crazy proc rate, but the damage on the disease is so low, I don't know of ANYONE using it.

Engine Guardian rewards for smart use.

When I see red: feel free to play a bit more vulnerable.

When I see blue: feel free to keep spamming those magicka skills.

When I see green: run, roll, block to the heart's content.

And it also takes a lot of damage/cc/proc sets that were intended for you too!

Agree on this one, engine guardian is very strong.

    Ask and you shall receive!

2 – When you block an attack, you gain an energy Charge stack, up to one stack per second. When you gain 6 Charges, you release the energy, restoring 5350 Stamina and Magicka, and healing for 5350. After releasing the Charges, you cannot regain new Charges for 14 seconds.

2 – When you heal an ally whose primary resource is under 50%, grant them Meridia’s Favor, restoring 2325 of that resource every 1 second for 6 seconds. 18 second cooldown.
