Is there a chance I can get out of combat sometime in 2019??? Like what in the....??? I will for miles, switch bars, sneak and I can't get out of combat. What does it take? I have literally been in combat for more than 5 minutes and been running forever. Why is it so hard to get out of combat? @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_Wrobel

Actually been 10 minutes; I ran from Bleakers (after taking it) to Bruma and back down to Aleswell...all while "in combat".

My friends and I were in combat for over 45 minutes last night. Killed players / NPCs ..it didn’t matter. We still couldn’t leave combat. Traveled everywhere on foot. It was great.

Wow...I gave up and commited suicide which got me out of it. Sad.

It's a new feature. It's just in case you are ever intending to be in combat. The process helps to alleviate poor performance by ensuring that processing power is never used to change your status.

A bit more seriously though, I have heard that if you take a ravage health potion, you drop the combat status when your potion cool down finishes. I haven't tried it personally yet, so don't shoot the messenger if you poison yourself for no reason.

This is a known issue. Gina has even acknowledged it in a thread on the subject. However, last time I checked it was not listed in the Dev Tracker so it is questionable if Zos has made fixing this any sort of priority.
