Chat Autocomplete Function

Is there a way to turn this annoying thing off? I don't need an autocomplete for a 5-character command, and when I want to switch to group chat by typing "/g", I don't want it to take me to "g3" just because my mouse was accidentally hovering over that stupid popup.
Same if I want to "say" something and end up sitting on the ground cuz my mouse was accidentally sitting where the popup placed "sit4".
If there's not a setting to turn this annoying "feature" off, is there an addon I can download?
To note: I don't want to disable chat; I just want to disable that annoying autocomplete feature that pops up and often hinders which channel I'm actually trying to reach.
