Imperial City

Is entrance to Imperial City only via Cyrodiil? Found it most difficult to get there during this pvp event.

Yes, unfortunately. Many players suggested we should get a direct port, but that didn’t happen yet.

So that's 2 things on my wish list ZOS

    1. If you can't fix the bugged battleground problem at least remove the deserter buff until you can!

    2. Make it so I don't have to queue for Cyrodiil to get to Imperial city please!

I waited 2 hours to enter Cyrodiil so I could access the IC (mainly for the event achievement).

People who want to PvP in Cyrodiil don't pass by the sewer entrance and say, oh, look a sewer entrance! Where does it lead? And next they abandon their Cyrodiil quests to do the sewers or the city! So it would be so easier to have a separate port for each.

During the event, the city was almost deserted. There were like 2-3 players per faction doing the flags, and that was it (Vivec EU, some minutes ago). So is that for what I waited 2 hours? I was hoping for some large scale battles, maybe do the center area too... That is because if you wait so long to enter Vivec, you go where the big battles are now, like keeps sieges and all, not IC.. but I am sure more people would play in the IC now if they could enter it directly, not via Cyrodiil.

It is an incredibly inefficient system as it is. I only happened upon the sewer entrance to IC by wandering around and exploring on my first trip to Cyro. It's actually ridiculous no direct port is available, and it's why I've never been back to the IC.

First, you queue for Cyro, then you have to ride your horse from closest fort/keep in your alliance while hoping not to get ganked, then you have to creep through sewers, while again, hoping not to get ganked. I barely peeked my head out of the sewers and into the city before a player immediately pounced on me and killed me from stealth. -_-

Wow, so much fun wasting time trying to check the place out! I'll never bother to go back either unless they put in a direct port location, cause it's really just a pain in the behind otherwise. The 4 player dungeons are the only thing I've done there and it was through the grouping tool and not via my alliance in Cyro.

If you just want to get to the city, it would likely be easier to enter on a mostly empty campaign, then you wouldn't have to que as long either.

But if you have you home and guest campaigns chosen already you cant enter another?

In each alliance base there is a "ladder room" that has six ladders up to the different districts. Getting out is easy. Coming back is the challenge.

Even your guest campaign has a long que? That stinks. The guest campaign I entered just to get daily tickets is mostly empty when it's not prime time...

Yea I have both my campaigns set before the event as I like pvp. This event has really disrupted my gameplay and on top of that the queue problems with BG has made it even worse.

You can change guest campaign with no cooldown as long as you're not currently in your guest campaign. This won't always solve the problem of long queues but it helps.

I know, but I also hoped to find large groups and join them

Does this affect your end of campaign rewards though?

60 mins already spent this evening waiting for deserter buffs to wear off

You don't get end of campaign rewards for your guest campaign anyways (and you're not eligible for emperor, and not on the leaderboard). So changing guest campaigns does not hurt you.

Empty? I played IC on Saturday's evening and there were Zerg groups running around. One of my companions was trolling them by sniping one by one.

Went back solo on Sunday to do quests and there were some groups again + a NB ganked me once. Later I was attacked again by another player but the prey killed the hunter. B)

Today is Monday, so it's quiet. I saw just one person who died from the interaction with me.

My suggestion is in the future, if you need an achievement, go to a less populated campaign

So one of my wishes came true, Imperial City will become its own campaign so no queue for cyrodiil to get there
