PvP and Champion points, do they make a difference?

So i historically play cyrodill 30day champion points enabled, and i never was that good at pvp. But i have recent started doing a lot of random battlegrounds. The thing ive noticed is that my ability to pvp is much better in the non-cp battlegrounds. It seems that once you take away someone’s champion points, most people get horrible at pvp. I play as an imperial magplar and i have taken on 5 at once and killed all without dying in battlegrounds non-CP. just a few matches ago yesterday i 19kills no deaths, and multiple assists.
What does the community think? Does CP make a huge difference? It seems that way to me. Take away a player’s CP, and they become little more than fodder for others.

CP is way more powerful in PvP than in PvE, even more so with high CP.
CP boosts your damage, your sustain and your damage resistance.
Your resistance is not so critical in PvE as you have an tank and an healer. Yes it helps, especially against borderland one shots like vBC1. In PvP its critical. Sustain, you can not heavy attack in PvP.

Just the resistance is enough, say you do 25% more dps and can take 25% more damage because of CP. in 1v1 you will win.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I dont attack low CP players open world solo...they're like overworld NPC mobs. Drop like a sack of taters, only good for serving and snipe spamming/ healing springs spamming

Comes down to the build. If someone who knows how to play builds for bgs or non-cp BUILDS for it then they most certainly are NOT just fodder for others.

The best MagDk I know (who taught me MagDk incidentally) plays a lot of bgs and is always theorycrafting. He ain’t fodder for nobody lol.

While CP certainly makes a significant difference, I think you're comparing apples to oranges and drawing conclusions about mangos. Certainly there are people whose builds are critically dependent on either CP or no-CP to be successful. But battlegrounds is such a different environment than Cyrodiil that it's really hard to conclude whether you're doing better in a no-CP environment, or whether you're just getting in BG matches with people who are much less used to PvP than the people you encounter in Cyrodiil. BG does have some attempt at matchmaking, remember. This is made even more of an issue during the current event, which will bring a lot of people who don't normally PvP at all into both Cyro and BGs.
