Performance issues, now in PvE flavor

Just had a good group for vet scalecaller and we had to call it quits on the last boss because the server is lagging so bad, mechanics were either not happening or happening so late, you couldn't react. She spawned two protective shields, and neither of them saved us. The simulacrums didn't spawn until two seconds before we died to the frost.

The entire group was experiencing the same horrible performance. Once leaving the dungeon, my ping was back to 98.

You've been trying to ruin PvP for years by neglecting performance... I guess we're going to ruin PvE now, too?

    Nope. Trials are always laggy especialy at craglorn, it's been for ages. It's common for it to lag at weekends.

    This particular issue has never happened to me. It's doing it to a lot of people tonight.

    Yes, trials are unplayable too. vAS has invisible, delayed and overlapping mechanics tonight, and it’s been 3 days since skills and bar swaps worked reliably.

    Log in and go into an instanced dungeon (heck even your house), and tell me that tonight it is not FAR worse than it has ever been. Because I will say this, it IS far worse tonight than it has ever been.

    This is nothing new for PVE. Trials have been unplayable for a lot of people including me for a number of years now. VDSA has issues, Vet Maelstrom has issues and the dungeons are very hit and miss. I know it doesn’t happen to everybody, but it looks like it’s happening to a big chunk of the playerbase, so yes, it makes it a problem. A problem which they haven’t been able to address for years now.

    Latency issues like this have been an issue for a LONG time in PvE. Rubber-banding, unusable mechanics, missing animations.. It goes on. Fang Lair, was unfinishable for the group I ran with for months because of this. Scalecaller was the same at times.
    You tell ZoS that theres an issue, and they tell you that you are running a lot of add ons, and to try turning them off, and restarting your computer....
    Player 1 "You all suck, dont you know how to play this game?"
    Player 2 "Huh?"
    Player 1 "just run passed everything!"
    Player 3 "We could just kill them on the way"
    Player 4 "Why am I 89% of total DPS, one of the only ones that Qued as DPS, and yet in a group with 3 other DPS that cant seem to kill the basic mobs in a normal dungeon, and being told I suck?"
    Player 1 "Whatever, GFL"
    Player 1 has left the group...

    The issues with lag and instanced problems has been happening for years, but far more isolated and pales in comparison to the server performance tonight. I have been participating in PVE for years in this game, and this is by and far the worse I've seen it.

    I'd like some acknowledgement from ZOS on this because it needs addressed immediately. Even a single player instance such as the final psijic order quest is unplayable and broken. All the way up to trail and dungeon instances.

    I'd love for the folks commenting "defending" the poor performance to actually login and try to play right now...

    I was just doing a quest in Wrothgar and was getting lag. It was getting pretty annoying.

    Maybe it has to do because of PvP. Maybe the calculations are done on the same server, so if PvP lags it influences PvE.

    I don't know really, but I heard PvE lag complains on forums or Ingame mostly when PvP was poplockef and lagging aswell.

    well on the plus side now that its been happening in pvp for a while, maybe they will fix the servers overall and they will fix cyrodil in the process.
