Why...

Why are there no interrupts on a lot of channelled skills anymore? for example a noob stands there and spams DS (dizzy swing) over and over as seen in pretty much every BG ever.
I remember when pretty much anything with a cast time was interruptible so why remove the skill of counter play and go for a button mashing mong style of play?

Actually if You're letting Yourself to be hit by dizzying swing over and over by someone that "stands there and spam it" it's not user of it who is the noob.

Meele chanelled or cast time abilities now are uninterruptable because ZoS camed to conclussion it's easy enough to avoid them so being also able to inperrupt them would be too much.

Jesus I knew there would be one.
Obviously if 1v1 scenario DS isn't a problem but when I'm already engaged and someone runs up and starts spamming DS it either causes me to go evasive, block and lose stam very quickly or otherwise take the fight in a different direction.
So ZOS decides its easy enough to avoid them so promotes dance around style of fighting instead of skill based fast reaction countering. GG.
If someone spams one skill over and over that does high damage with a CC then there should be a skill based counter other than, oh, now I have to run around all over.
ZOS makes bad decision because they do not play this game.

Did you ever try using DS in Pvp?
Please do. I love 2h in everygame but this because here the only spammable skill is so hard to use. If on top of that you could also interrupt it it would've been totally useless. Plus in your scenario with multiple people you will have just as much trouble interrupting it constantly and paying attention to others as dodging with no ability to interrupt.

I play every permutation of every class currently available and even though I used DS as an example I meant all cast time abilities.

Now for DS I use it not spam it and it is very effective, if there was an interrupt counter I would use it still but differently, I would be skill chaining not spamming 1 button mash play. In the scenario I exampled it would be easy for me to turn and interrupt the spammer mid swing and carry on my attacks on other opponents.

Ok, I want to make the game better and play more enjoyable not nerf anything, I would love to help people by saying look you have 9 other skills on your bars and here is how you can link them and chain them to expand on your playing experience and immersion as an alternative to pressing 1 button repeatedly.

If a good player uses DS its not to spam it, it sets up the combo that will burst you down.

Anyway 2 hander is a pvp weapon only, nobody uses it in pve unless they are RP'ing so it could use a bit of a rework.

I understand text is flat and some of what I mean is ultimately lost but what I simply mean is the play style of channelled abilities could be better and the counter to said abilities could also be better, more engaging, more immersive.

Honestly I don't see a reason for such a change.
If people get successfully spammed by DS, then it is effective, if they are smart/good enough to evade it, then it's already a hard counter and makes DS useless.

You shouldn't be able to use the same skill twice in my opinion

If you use it once you have to have another button press, and not have it be it block, light attack, had to be any other skill so one button wonders can't just stand behind you when engaged in combat hitting DS or spin to win

Why are there no interrupts on a lot of channelled skills anymore?

Because the skills are not really better than instant cast abilities, and being able to just interrupt them (interrupt can be tied to one button too without the need to block to interrupt) would be too much.
