Dragon Shout Skill line

So after looking at the data mine, there are 3 tokens which are shown. These tokens are matching the style of the chapter icons as the new additions these offer, so for example in the Summerset chapter you have a token for Summerset zone, one for the psjicc skill line & 1 for jewellery crafting. These are like the main selling points for the chapter. If memory serves Morrowinds tokens were for the Morrowind zone, the warden class & battlegrounds? (This is the one I forget)
Now with the new 3 tokens we can work 2, one for the Elsweyer zone & the other for the necromancy class.
Which brings us to the third, which is labelled Dragon. Now I know they’ve been selling hard the point of dragons being involved but is having dragons as enemies on the same scale as the other 6 tokens from the previous 2 chapters? They have always indicted a new class/skill line/mode etc so what could it actually be?
I’ve proposed a dragon shout skill line, I obviously could be wrong here but hear me out.
There is no way they would add a Dragonborn class as I know people would be annoyed as everyone loves to be the dragonborn, without getting into how lore breaking a class like that would be. However, you don’t have to be a Dragonborn to shout, there are many many examples in elder scrolls lore where people have learned to shout, take the greybeards as a prime example. With the introduction of dragons in the upcoming chapter, now is the time to implement such a skill line.

What do you think? Possible? I haven’t seen anything about the third token being discussed anywhere (although I haven’t looked extensively). This is something that makes sense to me, unless they’re using the dragon token to represent a new tier of crafting mats that go to cp180/200 but that’s a whole different post 😂

How long do we have to grind for a Thu'um skill line?

Ulfric Stormcloak studied with the Greybeards for years and he only knows two shouts.

I doubt they would release a new class and a new skill line at the same time.

It wouldn't exactly fit with the timeline I believe of TES Lore. If I remember correctly, ESO takes place before the first dragonborn.

I need a TES Lore master to hold my hand rn.

      Ok.
To level up skill line you need to learn shouts.
To learn one dragon shout, you'll need a tablet.
Each tablet consist of ten fragments that will drop from fishing.
You get random tablet when combining fragments.
You'll need to translate your tablets with a book.
      Book consists of 14 pages.
Each page consists of seven fragments that can be found in open world like lore books.
To make a random page you'll need special arcane glue that can be purchased for 150,000 Tel Var.

      Am I doing it right?

Greybeard guild would be pretty funny. Idk some shouts are way overpowered in Skyrim but I don't mind the idea of it in ESO as long as it's balanced sensibly.

No as in it would be a bad thing to introduce or no as in the theory isn’t good?

I mean, could ZOS do such a thing?

      Sure.

The problem is that the Thu'um takes years to learn if you arent Dragonborn. Now, the Greybeards arent the only way to learn the Thu'um. There are other schools of thought regarding the Thu'um, including some that produce Battle tongues like we hear of plenty of Nord kings and such. Tiber Septim will later form a college to teach Tongues.

But its not a quick, easy process unless you are Dragonborn (and can consume dragon souls), and the main plot of ESO relies on the fact that there is no Dragonborn.

So unless ZOS throws out the lore to make it quick and easy for us, or throws in timey-wimey shenanigans to shorten the player time required, it ought to take us years to grind that skill line.

I need a TES Lore master to hold my hand rn.

I'm pretty sure there were Dragonborn even in or before ESO, considering iirc Varen tried to use the Amulet of Kings to make himself one so he could take the Ruby Throne (which needs a Dragonborn to sit on it to keep the Dragon Fires lit). It's actually something that's kinda bothered me about the premise of the Three Banners war; even if any of the alliances DID win the Throne, wouldn't it not matter if the Emperor/Empress wasn't a Dragonborn? Wouldn't they need to vacate the throne for a true Dragonborn to keep the Dragon Fires lit and not have random Daedric Princes trying to drag Tamriel and/or Nirn into their realms?

After typing that stuff I decided to do a bit of research. I'll just c+p one of the things here since it's easier than paraphrashing because I'm lazy :D.
The first Dragonborn in history was Miraak, a Dragon Priest from the Merethic Era. Instead of using his Voice to fight Alduin, Miraak decided to serve the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora instead, making himself an enemy of the Dragon Cult he once served. He was eventually defeated by the dragons and hid in Apocrypha. He was later encountered in the Fourth Era and did battle with the Last Dragonborn before being destroyed by Hermaeus Mora.[6]

The next Dragonborn was purportedly Saint Alessia, the Nedic slave-queen who was blessed by Akatosh and given the Amulet of Kings to seal the covenant between them. This began the tradition of all legitimate rulers of the Cyrodilic Empire referred to as Dragonborn, as only they could wear the Amulet of Kings and light the Dragonfires in the Temple of the One.[1][7][8]

So maybe each Emperor/Empress isn't an actual Dragonborn, but the 'legitmate rulers of Cyrodiil' still makes me question how any of the current alliances winning the war would be good for Tamriel/Nirn's well-being. Wresting control of the Empire from its native people hardly seems like it would bestow legitimacy, imo at least.

That aside, I really don't think we'll ever see a Dragonborn Class or Skill line. As others have said, while anyone can learn the Thu'um, it takes years of dedication and work to learn even one Shout, let alone any usable number of them. I know ZOS plays a bit hard and fast with the lore here and there, but I wouldn't think they'd introduce something like the Thu'um for PCs to learn and use.

So does anyone have an actual idea what the dragon token is meant to be represent? I had a theory and ran with it, there’s issues with theories obviously, would love to hear other people’s thoughts on what this token means?

There were previous Dragonborn. Miraak, Saint Alessia, and the Reman Dynasty specifically come to mind.

Still, a ''Thu'um'' skill line does not fit with Elsweyr. It's very focused on Skyrim and their history.
