I enjoyed playing the necromancer in both Diablo 2 & most recently 3. Something about raising the dead really has griped me and many others over the course of RPG games with this role. I really like how Blizzard made the player trade off one resources for another powerful skill/playstyle (blood, bone, etc). I know comparing D3 to ESO is nonsense, but its all I have to go off and I'm sure Zeni will nail it (fingers crossed) I'm very curious to see how ZOS will develop their playstyle. I cannot wait to hear more details as the time goes by.
I'm excited for a new class, but whyyyy go for necromancer that have been in sooo many games and not a new exciting class that haven't been done (or rarely been done). Sure I loved playing necromancer in Diablo 2, but I'm very disappointed that the best idea zos could brainstorm for a "new" and "exciting" class is a necromancer...
If it is a necromancer, I atleast hope they make it different than raising undead and casting curses on people.
I pretty much only PvP these days and I'm not hyped for necromancer. Pets in PvP just don't really work (people make pet builds work, not saying they don't - but if everyone ran them it'd be a mess). They're unreliable in such a fast paced environment, get in the way when you want to target a player and surely will put a strain on the already suffering servers.
I'll make one (if it's a class) and have a play around, sure, but kind of sceptical how they'll work in PvP. I don't roleplay any of my characters or anything like that in this game so it doesn't speak to me for that either. Single player RPGs I do, but not in MMOs.
