The Little Things that Matter Most

This game, in the end, isn't about how high you can get your stats, what sets make you a curb stomping powerhouse, or how many Titles your character carries on their shoulders. It's about the little moments, the small niceties you can have in this world, the "Ahh, how nice." that comes from, say, sitting down on a couch with your Alfiq Cousin.



I started this new year off by being insulted and cursed by a raging alpha male from a PuG cause I made the unforgivable crime of standing up for Zenimax Online Studios and it's Employees. But that won't stop me cause I really do appreciate this game for what it gives me. I am in love with my 3 Khajiit and 2 Argonians much more than any character I've made in TES: V. And every little thing I can do in-game, because of this game, brings a smile to my otherwise dismal IRL Adulthood.

I've been a player since August 2015, and I will continue to be one until the Servers no longer exist.

Arch and Aliya.... your posts brought the BIGGEST smile to my face in weeks. I've been dealing with serious IRL issues: husband needed back surgery - not major, but he can't do anything for WEEKS and we've had so much snow I can't really shovel it myself like I could have when I was 50 (two decades makes a hell of a difference) - thank the GODDESS for our local volunteer fire dept who have dug out vehicles, paths, steps.... over and over! Oh, and the truck was stuck in town a 140 mile round trip with fixes that had to be done before being driven any more, finally got it back Monday; our little old jeep is just not good on slick roads.... eh *sigh* shouldn't whine! We have blessings, but some cheer really helps me out right now!

Love both of you - your posts are pretty level-headed, and as of right now, I need level-headed and cheerful! Happy New Year to you both!

ZOS may not know how to balance, (Hope they learn soon and bring back hybrids and effective choices to builds) and they may have made a mistep with the removal of the most worthwhile login rewards, and be awful at fixing bugs, but they're not evil.

Exactly. Kind of how I've been saying for about 30 years now that MS isn't the devil in a 3 piece suit.

You simply CANNOT argue witha Bosmer fem against the backdrop of Artaeum.

Eh..... maybe ZOS has..... not done things they should have.... But Artaeum is my go to for beauty in the calm. I love it. Works for me, to keep me calm....

This is the kind of thing that keeps me smiling even though I've somehow developed minor hate towards the men and women in charge. This is what truly matters.

When I hop into DF for a quickie random and find myself in a group with 3 newbies and they're friendly and happy.

I always take my time for them and when they appreciate it, it makes me appreciate the kind and outgoing members of the community that do the same.

Or when I'm on a newbie alt and a CP character takes the time for me and waits with me while I turn in quests.

Those things matter to me. They're small gestures but they make a big difference.

Been here since the start (even have the striped senche to prove it) and more CP's than I'm competent enough to use. No seriously, I'm not very good at this game.

There's 2 wonderful young ladies who have made my ESO journey the very best!

First is @ZOS_GinaBruno for dealing with this unruly lot with Class and Humor! Your Aces in my book young lady

And second is @MissBizz for starting a truly unbelievable guild! Not to mention your helpful videos.

The game has a lot to offer, but it's the community (and YES that means ZOS and our fellow players) that makes this a wonderful place to hang out.

We wouldn't be here if we didn't find some form of enjoyment from ESO...

So take a moment out of your game time (or forum time) and pay it forward to the people you cross paths with in Tamriel.

Trust me, they might just brighten your day even more than you imagine

Love this post and the picture of one of your girls @ArchMikem.... I love my girls and it’s certainly not because they have the best sets and stats (they really don’t). I too love this game... even if I’m picking flowers, people watching or playing with outfits.... it’s a great game
