Bound armaments for my stamsorc

Hi,

I'm leveling a stamsorc for battlegrounds and I have an empty slot in my DW bar that I don't with what to fill. Principally I always like to have some skills to buff me/ defend me and then have 2 or 3 active skills to do damage.

Sadly sorcerer's don't have to many stamina options and I believe is the only class together with templars that have no way to reduce the resistances of the enemies.

Armor armaments would be useful I believe for the extra 8% stamina and the extra 11% light attack damage, but why the 36% block mitigation for 3 seconds???? Is a tanking skill or a damage buff skill? I would understand if it would give some minor buff that would be useful for any type of build, but a 3 seconds almost no sense buff?

Whatever. I believe I have to try it first to see if it makes sense to slot it or replace it with Steel tornado, but that's why I'm here, maybe some of you that have already some experience and sure tried different builds could tell me more about useful skills for stamina sorcerer's or some feedback about this particular skill.

If you use the skill actively, its a tanking skill, but if you use it passively its a dps skill.

So I should understand for what you say that I can slot this ability and use the passive that it will make sense right?

A lot of stamsorcs slot it just for the passive bonuses. 20% Stamina and hp recovery. 8% max stam, 2% weapon damage and increased light attack damage is pretty good. The active ability would only really have use if you used snb and times it to help against something like soul assault but usually just blocking will be good enough. Or you could use it with snb ult. If you block an attack you can also cast it cheaper due to the passive on dark magic. But the active ability is quite weak, it's costly and the duration is way too short to be much use.

Yeah. Everyone has skills on their bars that they don't actively use. Most players with magicka classes use magelight and all it does is passively provide more magicka and sometimes empower if they actually use it/take that passive in the skill line. Since you have 10 slots for skills, you dont need 10 skills that you need to use actively for your rotation.

Yes it also will give you 20% stam regen and health regen because of a daedric summoning passive.

I hate the skill honestly they should ditched it added its effects to the skill line passives and allowed a new skill that does more than sit on your bar. But i use it

From where comes the 2% weapon damage?

And from where comes the 8% stamina? The tooltip says 5%...

    What do I miss?

It will become 8% once it is fully leveled.

I slot it on both bars for the reasons already cited in the posts above. I'm even more supportive of the skill since my stamsorc is bow/bow. Stam regen is a problem for stamsorcs - especially bow/bow and light attacks are an important part of my rotation/weave.

I agree the skill is a paradox though since the active effective is truly a useless joke. I assure you that even my tank would laugh at the active effect. 3 seconds? Hahaha.
