Launcher Gets Stuck at Downloading

Hello everyone...

Returning player here. Decided to purchase Summerset. Can't get the launcher to download the game.

I've tried several things to get this thing to work, including:

1) Completely uninstalling the game
2) Making firewall exceptions (I have Webroot and Windows Defender)
3) Turning off my firewalls
4) Running the launcher as administrator
5) Uninstalling VC++ versions so that the only ones on my computer are the ones the launcher downloaded
6) Stopped the download and used the repair function
7) A combination of all of the above

I'd rather not have to do a full reinstallation of my computer. All other applications and games work and download correctly.

If it helps, my ISP is Spectrum/TimeWarner in Hawaii. Yes, I've already put in a support ticket.

Please help.... I'd like to be able to play a game I just purchased. Thanks!

To clarify a something:

The launcher gets through "Verifying" just fine, but will freeze when the download begins. Eventually it says that the Download is stalled, and then force closes without any sort of warning.

If your ESO Launcher continues to get stuck on downloading, you should ensure that Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled in your Internet options. These settings can be found by following the steps below:

1. Open your Control Panel.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Click Connections on the top panel.
4. Select LAN Settings.
5. Ensure that Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled (unchecked).
6. Once the settings are applied, restart the ESO Launcher.

Deleting the Program Data folder may help with your download issue as well.

1. Close the ESO Launcher.
2. Navigate to the patch installation folder,
3. By default, this folder will be located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher\ProgramData.
4. Locate and delete the ProgramData folder.
5. Restart the ESO Launcher.
