Confused By CP Point System

Ok, so I'm now CP96 - I've distributed some points on the CP skills - however, even though I am above lvl10 on some of them, I don't have access to the lvl items. Ex, The Lady - I'm lvl11, but I cannot select SPELL ABSORPTION (which is unlocked at 10), nor can I select RETALIATION from The Atronach (which is unlocked at lvl10) even though I am lvl15 for it.

Am I just missing something?

Thanks!.

Do you have the champion points to use?
    PS4NA

All I see is hate and rage from people who don't understand how to.....

You don't select them. They are unlocked at those point values. I.E. Spell Absorption is unlocked when you distribute 10 points.

There are only four areas to select in each tree. The more pts you use in that tree the more is unlocked at 10, 30, 75 and 120 pts respectively.

You don't select them ... they automatically unlock for you with enough CP points invested in that constellation.

You do not select those. You get the 10/30/75/120 point passives at top of tree automatically when you reach the threshold.

I expect by now you see that those items that are unlocked are automatic passives you gain. They are not selected.

If you use 10 point in the tree/ page you unlock retaliation or spell absorption, if you spend it all on another of the 3 pages who uses the same cp like the mage you will not unlock them.

Note that the cp system is designed to be confusing much like curved swords with the bonus that it confuses not only Nords and 9 other races.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Oh! I did not realize they were passives!

ESO should have made that much clearer, lol - I thought that SKILL would be unlocked so that points could also be used for it!

Your not missing anything it was a half ass system to extend the life of a very shallow progression system. You'll be bored before you hit 160 . And then you'll be pissed when you do and you realize your character is weaker then when you were lvl30

It's sad that a game with SUCH incredible potential is limited by the narrow-minded designers. I don't blame the devs/coders, I blame the designers - the "thinkers". Nothing is "outside the box" - this game has, literally, unlimited potential. But sadly they can't see the trees for the forest. It's not (quite) as bad as Path Of Exile has gotten, but it certainly appears to be going down the same route.

I got it (when it was on sale) because my gf liked it - I have played Elder Scrolls since the first one - which Bethesda (back in the old BBS days), actually even released a patch for an issue that I identified!

I should have waited and saved my money for ES6. Oblivion and Skyrim seemed to be MUCH more satisfying. But it's not as bad as what they did with FALLOUT 76 - I'm certainly glad I didn't spend the money on that one!

I never understood the concept of limiting character levels - when all you do with the opponents is scale them anyway. So who cares if you get to level 5000? Same with skills. The fact that they stopped this at 50 just seems absolutely mind-numbing. At ;east when you buy a game, you own the game and the disc - you buy it online, or play MMORPG, and if they decide to shut things down, you're out the $$$ you spent. I also utterly despise the P2W aspect of virtually all MMORPGs.

Is it 2014? ESO is an MMO set in Elder Scrolls universe. Not an Elder Scrolls game with online features. If you do not like MMOs feel free to wait for ES6.
