Magsorc- Good non trial gear sets to combo with Julianos or mothers sorrow to maximize dps?

Right now I'm using Julianos+mothers sorrow with illambris but was wondering if replacing julianos with something else could increase my dps? is there a non trial set which could do this?

I'm destro destro with 2 lightning staves, blockade of elements, liquid lightning, crystal fragments, haunting curse etc.

Working on your rotation will improve your DPS more than any set over the ones you are using.

a good point that's how I've gone from 10k to 20k dps without changing gear.

That's a good setup, keep with it. You could do inferno on front bar too, that will help

If nobody in your group is providing Minor Berserk, you could try Slimecraw, otherwise you are fine.

Put all your AOEs (wall of elements, liquid lightning) on your lightning staff bar as a lightning staff buffs them by 8%, and all your single target abilities (force pulse, fraga, endless fury) on your fire staff bar as it buffs single target abilities by 8%

Fire staff is easier to weave with as well so it's easier to get off your light attacks in between skills.

Also, 1 lightning staff will already proc minor vurnability (8% more damage taken ) so you may as well also use a flame staff to increase the chance of putting the burning status on an enemy which is a pretty decent damage over time.

The 8% to either is only applied if you are on that bar, ie if you drop ll and wall on a lightning staff you will lose the 8% AOE buff when swapping to a fire staff.

Pet sorc run lightning/lightning, frag sorcs run fire/fire.

I was using Julianos and Necropotence as a pet sorce, I replaced the Necropotence with Spell Strategist, I'm liking the change, I lost a little majika but noticed mobs going down quicker. It's been helpful in vet dungeons when I have to single target adds and also on bosses. See the link below I posted it helped me tremendously. I was running out of majika all the time and now I'm doing 3 to 4 times more damage and rarely run out. I'm also now using dual pets so I can backujp heal and dps quite well. The backup heals have save my bacon a lot of times as I run a lot of PUG's.

Well, Spell Strat is good, but it only affect one target at a time. Brutal for dueling and single targeting the boss for PvE. However, I prefer Spider Cult and Innate Axiom for one my magsorc, as I also prefer Lighting Staff over Inferno. With the two sets combo alone can match or even outperform Spell Strat and Julianos; then again, it's preference. Oh heck, for PvE, you really can go with any sets, and it will work. For my petsorc, it's still Necro and Spider Cultist with Nerieneth (that how you spell it?) My other magsorc has Spider Cult and Overwhelming, and I am very satisfied with the performance of my mags..

Spell strategist also does absolutely nothing for your pet damage.

I've had pretty good results with BSW + Mother's Sorrow. You just gotta make sure you have enough sources of fire damage ( I run an inferno front bar, Za'an or Valkyn Skoria or Illambris, fire enchant on back bar, and elemental weapon for the burning status effect.) I also had better single target results when I dropped haunting curse from my rotation.

BSW Front bar, mothers sorry body and either grothdarr, zaan, illambris or slimecraw is really nice.

Inferno front bar will increase your single target dps over lightning. You can leave lightning on the back for quality of life and trash pulls. Because you aren't running pet it's kind of pointless to double lightning.
