Since I just came back to the game I figured I’d update my toon a bit. After much deliberation I essentially decided to become a PVP bubble master. Bubbles + VD + the destro ultimate or shatter soul (for explosions on top of explosions) with a random inevitable detonation makes for quite the cheesy goodness.

I can’t do much of anything one on one but man, it’s fun for some good old low skilled Zerg surfing. I got 9 yellows at once earlier. Definitely worth a try. Repeatedly casting bubbles as your primary offense really makes it feel like a different game.

Anyway. Yeah. Haha. Cool story bro and what not. Bubbles are fun.

Lmao. The most fascinating thing about bubbles Imo, is that it has in fact become a 1v1 skill. Fighting a magplar on top of a resource tower? Prepare for them to spam bubbles over and over and then soul assault you. I detest that skill, its such a low skill no brainer, and should absolutely not be spammable.

Hahaha 100% guilty as charged. Haha. I spam them out every 4 seconds like a factory. I could probably chain smoke cigs and play with one finger under the right conditions!

Honestly I figure if after 5 years, give or take, if the same favorite tactic is to stand 37 people deep and spam nonsense in a group against solo players the least I can do is make life annoying for the ball group.

    time stop...

it's a spammable negate and snare all in one...and, it does more than that too :o

Time stop has a fairly long animation and can be dodge rolled out of before it goes off lol. it's only actually very powerful in tight quarters like in the doorway of a keep.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

That must be why every group spams in any situation from open world deter cyro to BGs to Xv1. The fact is that with mobility at an all time low, and this skill having such a massive AOE it’s very easy to get caught in it and all the snare removal and dodge rolling burns resources like crazy. This is one of those skills where if you’re defending it you’re probably spamming it on out numbered opponents. The time freeze morph has no cast time as well. Let’s compare it once again to negate which is similar in how it acts on the battlefield. Negate nullifies abilities and does low damage or a low amount of healing. It’s an ultimate available to one class with about 200 cost. Meaning a caster has to forgo an offensive ult use. And it can only be used as often as ult can be built so it needs to be strategic and used sparingly. That window leaves counterplay time. Time stop on the other hand provides a snare, stun and negates 5k healing which is a lot in cyro, has a short cast time but can be used as many times as long as magicka is available. It provides just as many benefits to a group as negate and can be used continuously. Tell me why this should be the case when the nearest skill to it is a 200 cost ultimate?

You’re pretty much all correct. Haha. I use the instant cast one, not the reduce health one. Once you have the timing down it’s essentially a few seconds of slow and a few seconds of stop on repeat.

One common misconception is that it is only good for tight spaces. Yes, it is great for them. But personally, medium spaces (such as keep doorways) are just as good, and you’d be amazed how easy it is to hit a group in the open with it if they are one of those 25 guys running around a tree types. You just gotta lead em a bit.

Side note: this is usually where a PC guy gives 15 reasons why this won’t work to which my only reply is ... console. It works and it’s glorious.

Just looked it up. I use Time Freeze.

    Cast: Instant
    Range: 41 meters (Cyrodiil)
    Radius: 8 meters
    Duration: 4 seconds (misleading)

Gradually reduces movement speed over 4 seconds before stunning them in place for 3 seconds.

You essentially have 7 seconds to mow down an army. Using Thunderous Rage as the destro Ult ... it’s 9 seconds. Time it right, especially timed with VD and a Jesus Beam and watch your pretties melt.

Came here expecting a Skooma Bubbler complaint thread, then thought someone was spamming Necrotic Orbs across Cyrodiil.

Boy, I need to PvP more.

Thing is, if this is gonna be nerfed (as expected when people complain about PvP) it's probably going to become useless in whatever PvE situations it is somewhat handy.

I've laughed a lot at some of the poses my characters freeze in when I dodge roll a little too late and get caught in those bubbles.

This is the funniest part about using it. The only nerf they could ever do to it is to make it shorter in duration or not an instant cast because it doesn’t actually do any damage.

I love the conversations about DPS parses and how X is better than Y in a race. Well, this does literally zero damage but can kill 30 people instantly with just a little practice.

I actually modeled this off of the old DC Universe “Controller” class to an extent. I’m still working out the best way to maximize my effectiveness in a heavy or light armor sort of way but all in all it’s quite fun as is.

I would never complain about the skooma bubbler! Especially on New Years Eve! It’s party time!

because, in order to use this wonderfully op skill - you have to own summerset...

no doubt there's already a time stop nerf planned for when summerset (and jewelry crafting) become a part of the base game...
