Old people (Still a work in progress)

Aging characters and NPCs in games is still a work in progress it seems.

ESO has advanced so far as to get fairly realistic aging in the face, and also the neck, hands, and feet. The forearms (as I look at this NPC on my screen) are still a bit too young looking. And what old lady's breasts are THAT perky? I'd expect some sagging. Do they even have bras in Tamriel? Also, her hair is much too smooth bright and shiny for her age. As are her eyes.

NOW, I just saw her walk away, with a very sexy young lady walk. That's quite the sway in her hips! (And she's there to pray in a church for crying out loud! )

Also the voice is much too young sounding for the the degree of aging in her face suggests.

So yeah... not really buying the "this is an old lady" I'm looking at.

It's all preparation for the new crafting job they are going to introduce, Plastic Surgeon. A little nip here, a little tuck there ....

I wonder what the long term effects of using restoration magic as your primary medical care are on longevity...

One of the main NPCs in the Psijic Order quest line:
    • Is hundreds of years old, I believe.
    • Is pretty good in a fight.
    • Is addressed or referred to by Razum-Dar as "pretty lady".

Hmm... I mean the idea is to cure aliments, so this makes sense.

If I wanted to be realistic, I would be an innkeeper, yelling at her Husband the barkeep, dressed in sweats, salt and pepper hair and calling everyone a youngling.

I am not realistic. I am Path.
