(PC N/A) Eye of Storm Misses? What Armor does this?

I was wondering if there are new armor sets out there that allows you to survive Thunderous Rage IV (Eye of storm Lightning staff/Destro Ulti) ?

I can understand one player, however there were multiple players that had this damage tick over their heads instead of an actual damage stat. So I'm interested in knowing what kind armor did zenimax that I could check it out.

Thanks :)

That's not an armor set, it's ZOS logic.

To be honest, sometimes damage vanishes in the game...Now on that scale, eh...Highly doubt they are all wearing Meridia's :D

eDIT: nvm guess you did have debuff on bar

On a side note, the Meridia's blind effect is near impossible to notice. There are some really, really small bubbles popping next to your head when it happens. I highlighted on your screenshot those:

Unless you have already tested Meridia, it's impossible to recognize it. Even then, it's darn near impossible to notice it during combat.

Is this the debuff icon for blindness by any chance? If so, you can just look for that.

Whoa! That is a great cheese debuff. So Meridia's Cheese build does this? And it only takes 1 to mess you up?

However, is this a normal PvP build or is this something players use in trials?

That said, thank you for that. You're experience in this was very helpful. And you're right, I would have never noticed those tiny bubbles snapping around my head like that.

Frowned upon LULZ! Well if it were just the one player using it, my entire Ultimate on that ball group was wasted. I just as well ran up to them all and slapped them with a wet noodle. I have to say, after I experienced that for the first time, you can imagine my confidence at that moment. I thought something was wrong and needed to relog or something.

It also appears to be one of the last sources of causing attacks to miss in game. Blinding flashes and Sparks are already gone, and passive dodge was removed. Even the things you can actively dodge was reduced awhile back. This set in question has also been nerfed at least once before as well. It used to work on bosses.

That seems to be a bug to me. Thunderous Rage, as a ground-based AoE, should not be able to be blocked or dodged, according to the new Block and Dodge rulesets from Update 17.

Since Meridia's Blessed Armor is procced from a successful block, Thunderous Rage alone shouldn't proc the automatic miss buff. Nor should provide a group buff.

Either Meridia is somehow violating the latest block ruleset or something else is going on.

I'd be very surprised to see anyone running a such a set in PvP, let alone several in a group... the buff is situationally unreliable and doesn't provide much else beneficial in PvP.

"Miss" caused by blindness is different from "dodge". It's a debuff to the player. Another player blocked one of OP's earlier attacks procced the set and for the next 5 seconds they missed all of their attacks.

That look pretty close to the Ritual effect on the ground. You can see them all around the Ritual site.

PvP, though not exactly standard. As far as I know, it should work in trials, but because of how that environment works, it's not that enticing. "Yay, I soaked a hit from one axe, and now it can't do anything, while the other three turn me into pulled pork." Some fights might fare better than others. It might be an idea for vAS+2, if you want to mess around with a different approach, but, this isn't a frequently used tool.

Just remember it only subtracts one participant for five seconds. It doesn't affect the entire time. So, your dreams of 1vXing both teams isn't going to become a reality on one set.

Farmed from the main quests, chests and delves in cold harbor, rare because most do cold harbor before CP160 making the drops under leveled. Wait till CP160 to do cold harbor.
