Those in power only have the illusion they are powerful, however in reality, those in power are only so because we allow them to be.
On a side note, the Meridia's blind effect is near impossible to notice. There are some really, really small bubbles popping next to your head when it happens. I highlighted on your screenshot those:
Unless you have already tested Meridia, it's impossible to recognize it. Even then, it's darn near impossible to notice it during combat.
You got this debuff.

Is this the debuff icon for blindness by any chance? If so, you can just look for that.

It's a PVP set that is greatly frowned upon by anyone with a sense of honor

That seems to be a bug to me. Thunderous Rage, as a ground-based AoE, should not be able to be blocked or dodged, according to the new Block and Dodge rulesets from Update 17.
Since Meridia's Blessed Armor is procced from a successful block, Thunderous Rage alone shouldn't proc the automatic miss buff. Nor should provide a group buff.
Either Meridia is somehow violating the latest block ruleset or something else is going on.
I'd be very surprised to see anyone running a such a set in PvP, let alone several in a group... the buff is situationally unreliable and doesn't provide much else beneficial in PvP.

"Miss" caused by blindness is different from "dodge". It's a debuff to the player. Another player blocked one of OP's earlier attacks procced the set and for the next 5 seconds they missed all of their attacks.

However, is this a normal PvP build or is this something players use in trials?
