Question about making tank builds

I want to play around with making my own tank build and I was wondering what good starting spots were for health, resource recovery, resistances, etc.
Like, is there anything you would recommend a tank needs to have to survive... so I can start there when making a build. I am an imperial templar and my focus would be mainly stamina as a resource.
Really only interested in surviving veteran dungeons.
