Swift trait drop requirements

I'm yet to get a single exemplary swift ring as part of the daily writ rewards and I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong or not met all requirements, RNG taking it personally or the drop chance is silly low or something else.

As far as I know the only requirements is to max out the jewellery line and be 5/5 in engraver.

If anyone can shed some light then I'd appreciate it a lot.

Buy a trait stone, get someone in guild to craft it, then reaserch. Easy, fast and efficient =)

The drop rate is just incredibly low, with the intent I think that this is mostly a community sourced trait (i.e. what Kikke suggested).

I get them too often. I have probably received 10 or so. They don't even sell well.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the exemplary Infused items? Those are quite common. Swift items seem to still hold some value, all the listings TTC shows are between 10-20k.

Swift. I don't even try to sell infused. They just get vendored. Probably gonna start that with the swift as well.

Full disclosure, on Xbox, my master crafter is NA.

The swift ring I have on a trader right now didn't sell at 5k,so I tried 3k, got it back and now it's at 2500. When I get it back, straight to the vendor. I can't sell them, can't decon them, can't research them again. Guildies don't even want them anymore. I used to think it was cool to get them. Now I find it as disappointing as master writs.

Don't know why I've had so many. I only do top level writs with one character. But everyday. Been doing that since mid September.

The drop rate is very low ~1% or lower. I do jewelry crafting on 15 characters at macimum tier and I see 1 piece of swift a week or less. It's not that cheap to buy, since even to craft one for research costs 20 vouchers for the trait material. Right now they're around 12-13K on EU-PC.

Drop is low, but I’ve got my fair share of them. Just keep doing dailies, preferably on multiple level 50 JC toons, and you’ll get em.

So this is what I have been wasting my "good" RNG on?

Now that I am home and can check my records, 9 pieces in the last 12 weeks. With 1 character. It took me 10 days of at least 5 characters a day to get my ugly skin.

With 15 maxed jewellers I can vouch the drop rate is terrible, I’m clutching at straws for a number as I don’t keep a record of drops but I would say I get one to two swift pieces per month and I do every character everyday.

They’re stupidly and unnecessarily rare. I’ve been doing level 50 Writs since a week after Summerset and have never seen them. However I have received the other types multiple times now. I ended up buying a ring with the trait through a guild trader.

PC NA - I bought them off a Vivec guild store for about 100k each. Cheap at twice the price....

Damn, what I was hoping it wasn't

    Thanks everyone

BTW, just how do you get good RNG?

I think my chance of that is governed by the usual bad RNG so..... never.

The drop rate is intentionally quite low. It is not intended that all players get it through RNG. Some will get it and others will have to learn it from these other players, either by buying it directly from them or by giving them a trait stone and have them craft it.

Understand that it is absolutely intentional that there are multiple paths to acquiring this item and you'll be fine. If you are dead set on getting it strictly from RNG drops, you could be waiting an intense amount of time.

No, they're right. Swift drops rarely from jewelry writs, but if you're doing a bunch, you'll get a bunch. However, they don't sell for much. Even with the alleged demand. It creates a weird situation where a lot of people (myself included) don't bother listing them.

I would guess because Swift is made with gilding wax and people that are doing a lot of master writs have extra vouchers banked so can just buy the trait stone and ask someone to make it for them cheaper than buying directly from a trader. It's what I did because I still haven't seen a single one of these drop.

Yeah, I honestly can't remember if I simply picked the jewelry up from a guild trader or if I got it "legitimately."
