Same. I went nord too because templar seems heavily defencive and i really like that!

I love Nords. LOVE. But the passives are the worst of the lot.

SADLY, you’ll notice a difference in performance with a Redguard or Bosmer.

The health recovery is useless and the damage mitigation isn’t really worth it.

My healer is a Nord Magplar. Nothing in the game I haven't been able to complete that I've attempted.

I agree, I have one as well.

If one can make that work, and be effective you can boss meta races easily.

I'm in the process of creating/leveling a stamina templar myself.
Tried a Nord...deleted him at level 20
Tried an Imperial...deleted her at level 20
Now playing a Bosmer and it feels much better and I think I will keep this one. I'm at level 23 and still like playing her.

The Nord/Imperial I played 2H/DW.
The Bosmer I'm playing bow/DW.

The Bosmer feels right for my play style. Don't run out of stamina and I have enough magicka to use templar skills at this low level.

And I'm not even wearing set gear on the Bosmer..just whatever I'm picking up from quests...got tired of it while leveling the Nord and Imperial.

Also eventually I want to go werewolf with this character.

Running:

<> 2 Piece Heavy Earthgore Monster set - golded out, impen
<> 5 Piece Spell Power Cure Necklace/rings - arcane/Lighting Staff front bar - infused/Resto Staff back bar (my healing bar) - powered, golded out
<>5 Piece Heavy Reactive Armor - golded out, impen

I run this in PvP and PvE. in PvP - I stay mostly on my backbar as I play as a healer, with Remembrance IV as ulti, Breath of Live IV as oh poo! heal, Shards and Ritual of Retribution IV slotted as well. Front bar has Agressive Horn IV as ulti, also some healing but swapping shards for Rapid Maneuver IV for riding across Cyrodiil. In PvE - I switch my front bar ulti to Elemental Rage IV while farming or playing alone, Reviving Barrier IV when doing dungeons or playing with a small group.

I've been complimented many times on my healing in PvP. I initially chose this class and race because I don't like dying and Nords looked tough, while a Templar looked noble. I also didn't have ESO plus at the time so, being "ordered" by a friend to create an EP character, the Nord race was the only real choice after looking at the passives for Elves and Argonians. This is my first RPG/MMO/Elder Scrolls game I have ever played. I do ok, I have fun, Nord Templar healer for the team

Nothing wrong with a Nord for Stamplar. Nord still get fine stamina passive and good health, plus damage resistance. I have Stamplars that are Imperial and Nord. Redguard is also good for Stamplar, as an Orc. However, do not make a Magplar with a Nord..

Vampire damage reduction pairs nicely with Nord damage reduction imo. Effectiveness of this combo seems to be very debatable though.

My stamplar is a nord after I finally said screw it, I want him to be a nord. I do ok in PVP for completely non meta.

Wouldn't be too bad if the damage reduction wasn't calculated in a way that you're only getting about 2% reduction. Or the health recovery wasnt a percent but rather a flat rate. Makes them both the most worthless passives in the game.

Guess "whoopie!" For an extra few minutes of Dubious ?

Today I refined 70 rube ore. Got 3 gold tempers. Hidden nord passive.

I have many Nord Templars. It's one of my favorite race/class combinations. I tank with them, I dps with them and I plan on learning to heal with them.

Don't get me wrong, other races will outperform them. I just like the way it plays.

stam plar. Nord stamplar is pretty good. I race changed mine, wish i hadnt.

Quite good in no-CP PvP. You are pretty tanky even in medium armor. The 6% mitigation is about the same as the difference between 5M2H and 5H2M. I use 5 Bone Pirate 5 Veiled Heritance 2 Bloodspawn 5M2H on my DK and I like it.

My Stamplar is running:
2 Krag
5 Spriggan
5 Mechanical Accuity with 2 Infused axes and Infused Bow (you can use 2H too)
and Lover Mundus.

I too have a Nord Templar. Currently in magicka mode. He gets re-spec'ed a lot. Sometimes he's a tank, sometimes he heals... mostly, he just crafts.

I really hope Nords get some love with the racial passive changes.

Blood Spawn + Spriggan/Hulking + Ravager

Btw, nord is actually a good race for stamplars. Imo orc > imperial > nord > redguard > khajiit > wood elf, you could even be an argonian because their racials are op and work for everything.

I run a nord stamplar tank. It uses bloodspawn, automated defense, and alkosh. Since getting major protection as a physical ulti, and minor protection from any aedric spear ability, stamplar tanks are VERY tough. Nord passives help, too. Throw in bone shield every now and then and can tank basically anything outside vet trials without even needing healed.

My first character was a nord magicka templar. I didnt know things. He eventually caught a case of argonian, and then high elf. He is a really good crafter now. Loves doing writs.

I'm running a Nord Templar now (my first character) - lvl46 atm. Doing pretty well - plenty of health & stamina and enough magika to kill what I need to. Still can't go against the 1mil+ pt opponents though. I've gotten the hang of the balance between attacks, blocks, and magic.

I haven't followed any particular build pattern, and am using some crafted, some found gear - only just got Ebony ore.

No, you really wont, not unless you are a min/max person. Sure, racial passives are nice, but they dont make THAT big of a difference in the end.

Health recovery is pretty worthless...but damage mitigation isnt, people always gush about the extra 5% health each person gets when the tank runs Ebon armor...but all of sudden 6% mitigation from a racial skill is worthless? Its better than the tank wearing Ebon for survival(though I think the tank wearing Ebon is virtually worthless too...I just equate that passive to the extra health from Ebon...equally pointless or equally good, depending on what you think of Ebon)

Pass the mead, Nords are awesome. Drink Mead gain power! (seriously if drinking gave nords a 10% damage bonus everybody would play nord)
