Using the show on map for quests doesnt work?

So I accepted a new life festival quest today, and it said to go to stonetooth fortress, I didn't know where it was so I hit m to show it on the map like it says, but it just zooms in on windhelm, i tried
it with different qusts and it they zoom in different areas, is this a glitch? Help?

I think if you click on the right at top you can zero in on a specific quest and it's location....otherwise you chase all over the maps trying to find something.

Iirc it shows you the nearest "overland" route instead of wayshrine route so it pointed you to the docks at windhelm. Silly, I know

You have to find your way to Betnikh. It's an island. Used to be Betony.... orcs conquered it generations ago and renamed it.

Getting there: zoom in on the docks, check the "anchor" icons to see where they go. Gilnir (not sure about the name, not in game right now) will offer you some options - one of which is "adventure", which should get you to Betnikh. Easier though is if you are in a guild, ask if someone can port you.

Yeah, I've had moments like that ever since starting to play. Now, admittedly, TES is known for open world games, and therefore one does expect to have to figure things out a bit - but an event like this one, it should be a bit more "transparent and logical".

Sure, back when Betnikh was a follow on from Bleakrock. Well.... it's not any more..... And it's not exactly easy, transparent, or logical how to get there!
