Are there some guidelines you can give me for nCOS? I am still relatively new to this game, so unable to try this on vet. I want to get to that point though. What's better to use for this dungeon, a magsorc or stamden?
Class doesn't matter much if you're doing the mechanics right, but I always find learning is easier with a magicka char that doesn't need to be up on the enemies to do damage.
Sithera the first boss needs to be pulled into the torch light to dps. If the light goes out move her to another torch in the rooms. This goes for the little spider adds also, which must be killed even after she dies and can take a while to kill if not in the torch light.
Khephidaen is in a room with a ring of torches. She does a heavy cleave attack so the tank needs to make sure she isn't facing the group and the group needs to not stand in front of her. She'll do an AOE you'll need to get out of. Dodge roll works well. Or just keep range. Every now and again she will teleport and start channeling, if she gets the channel off she'll do serious damage so someone needs to interrupt or bash (crushing shock from destro staff tree will help if your tank isn't shield charging and bashing). Torches around the room will go out now and again. On Veteran it's important to light any torches that go out ASAP or they will spawn adds if left extinguished too long, but on normal it's not as important if you have okay dps.
Votary is a big spider. Avoid his aoe, his adds will snare. On normal this boss is a joke if you avoid the AOE; on vet it can be surprisingly difficult depending on the group makup. best bet is to stay ranged and avoid adds/getting snared. Like most spiders he does a feeding thing where you can bash him to stop him from recovering health.
Dranos Velandor is the fight that most people get hung up on. First thing he does is start to teleport from player to player doing damage, during this phase just block. Then he will spawn two adds. These will immediately pin one player. If both the adds are not bashed immediately, the pinned player will almost certainly be killed. During certain times the boss will become immune to attacks and shadow copies will appear around the room. These can be killed but the easiest way to get rid of them is to have the tank kite the boss around the room and into the adds. Doing so will get rid of them. The last mechanic is that the statue in the middle of the room will shoot red 'waves' on the floor and the longer the fight goes the more frequent they happen. They do a lot of damage, one shot if you don't have good resist/hp.
The easiest way to do this fight is to keep your group by the door you came in and do the battle there while facing the statue. When the shadow adds pop up the tank runs around the room and the healer can step up to heal while the dps hangs out by the door. this way you dont get too spread out so you can bash the two channeling adds and also being at a distance from the hanging statue means you have some time to avoid the red waves.
Velidreth is the last boss. The #1 priority is that portals will open in the room and adds will come out. Two of the adds are flesh atronachs that have torches. They must be DPS'd immediately and then synergized to pick up the torches. At certain points during the fight you'll get teleported to a maze and the torches will keep you alive. Tip: when you first enter this final boss fight, put your map marker on the center room, this will help you orient yourself while running the maze. The maze is not so hard, just keep moving, heal yourself, avoid the traps on the pads the torch will reveal.
The other tough mechanic is spider sense. You'll get a message to stop moving as Velidreth crawls up to the ceiling. What you'll want to do here is stop moving and look UP to see her body hanging on the ceiling. As soon as she moves and starts to drop you want to dodge roll. This will avoid you being one shot by a spike from the ground. (some people advocate looking at the circle on your feet for this as opposed to looking up at velidreth, but that hasn't always worked for me but watching for her to move has worked every time)
Orbs floating around the room will drain resources depending on their color - blue draints magicka, etc. She has interruptable attacks. Lastly, she will devour your ultimate, so if you have an ultimate ready to go you may as well use it as soon as it's available.
One thing I would like to add with the Velidreth fight is when she goes to eat your ultimate, she spawn orbs that drains your resources on contact. The type of resource depends on the highest stat of the target being eaten. Example would be a magicka draining orb for a MagSorc or a stamina draining orb for a StamBlade. It is best for the tank to be eaten as health draining orbs will spawn and can be healed through. The good news is that you can control this! Velidreth will always target the player with the most ultimate so all players except the tank should be spamming cheap ultis to ensure the tank has the most ultimate.
