What I like about the New Life Festival Event

Mudballs. I never get tired of hearing the splat, and especially the whining of the ambassadors. The shivering animations for the snow plunge. But the horizontally challenged Nords at the fire don't shiver? The running puddle to puddle in a huddle to keep fishing the boon. Seeing the price of Charity writs change day by day. Seeing the number of people doing the signal sprint. I have to say, with 9 toons doing the quests daily, it's been my favorite event. Well done Z.

It's fun... But maybe should be renamed the 'Loading Screen Festival' next year.

I was totally surprised that I nailed the chest lockpicking event the first time I tried it... Apparently all those chests I looted in the last year taught me something!!!

... Now if only I could get the signal fire running achievement. It's the only one I don't think I can unlock at all. How do you run all those corners quickly??

Well, Nords are naturally cold resistant. And drunk. =)

There is a pattern. south, east, west, north maybe … Or perhaps this one has the map upside down.

Khajiit will look properly tonight yes.

This one always manages to get it done with a good 10 seconds to spare.

Rapid maneuvers. You can get it easily just by doing the Cyrodiil tutorial. Then plan your route and you can get it on any character, no matter how slow they are.

I have no idea why I find this so much fun. :)

My accountant told me to invest my money in bonds. So I bought 100 copies of Goldfinger.

Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers
Trumpets, towers and tenements, wide oceans full of tears.
Flags, rags ferryboats, scimitars and scarves
Every precious dream and vision, underneath the stars.

Do it in group of players if you have trouble doing it alone, keep in mind they need to be on same daily event quest as you.

My favourite thing is definitely the writs. 3 weeks ago I finally started selling things on a guild to make money, and writs have so far brought in 450,000 gold. Well on my way to buying the Riften house.

Yeah, I've made about 300k. It's funny, I'll advertise for 40k and inevitably someone will "lol" me. Yet, I'm still making bank.

Fun but in my attempt to speed through it, my toons have landed on the rocks over the falls a few times. Ouch! Lol

I like the mudballs, too. I usually spend extra time there participating. It is the one place, at the one time, that won't get me reported for using them.

Second favorite is jumping in the water. Sometimes, I "socialize" at the fires, and sometimes I just complete the whole thing while suffering from frostbite.

Finally! A positive thread about the New Life Festival. I enjoy the event also - but I've enjoyed all the recent events. I just temper how I do an event to avoid any irritations or things I don't enjoy. Or burning out. One character does one Breda quest per day and that is great fun. I've done them all and have all the rewards from previous years. Simple enjoyable fun!

Rapid maneuvers. You can get it easily just by doing the Cyrodiil tutorial. Then plan your route and you can get it on any character, no matter how slow they are.

Problem for my magicka characters (which have put all attribute points into magic) are that when you use Rapid Maneuver there is almost no stamina left to sprint with (Rapid cost too much stamina to also sprint with), which makes Rapid less useful if you don't use stamina pots to help out, but those have also a cooldown for 47 seconds (so you will not be able to run all the way with pots).

Best option for magic character is to use movement abilities that increase speed or teleport skills that are based on magic. Warden can use that seldom used ability to hitch-hike from friendly player, Sorcerer have Streak and Boundless Storm (4 second Major Expedition) and from Psijic line Accelerate (and morphs). Templar don't have an independent teleport skill (need a target) need to use Psijic or similar skills to get more speed.

Rapid maneuver, stamina buff food and crafted stamina potion is all it took for my magicka templar to solo the achievement.

Sure.. first time was all right, except for the all the bugs, glitches and lag that plagued it during its entirety. Second year had bug on the Bergama spring for PS4. Overall, it was all right, except for that. Well, 3rd time now, it is like.. ehh, let's get it over with and enjoy the double xp. Great time to level up new toons and outlying skills on current toons, however.

And doing these in a group of guildies, particularly the Bergama and Rawlk'ha ones.
