Right now I’m at about 20k pds on my stam dk at 514cp all purple.

How much more dps will I get from turning my weapons gold?

Maybe 5k increase. Practice your rotation, smooth it out, get some more CPs and you'll be cruising into 30k+ territory in no time.

Gold weapons add 200 more weapon or spell damage to the base, which is quite nice. Making your main hand Nirnhoned doubles that amount again. So you go from a purple non-nirn which i think is 1,100 to a gold nirn that gives 1,500.

The thing to note is if youre penny pinching and you dual wield, only make the main hand weapon gold. The off hand doesnt matter nearly as much.

    BIG!

Golding your weapons will add +100 to you dps.

Mathematically, you always want to gold your weapons first. It provides the biggest boost.

Like others have said above, the jump from purple to gold for weapons is quite steep and very much noticeable.

The same is not true for Jewelry though ...

Unless you're planning to replace those weapons, you should always gold them out. The increase is very significant. Not the case for armor-jewelry though.

    +100 to your DPS?

So if you are performing at 50,000 DPS, you will be at 50,100?

That does not sound worth it =p

If you are do 50k dps with purple weapons, don't worry about golding them unless you are trying for leaderboards.

Plug your in-combat buffed stats into this

    http://esolog.uesp.net/viewSkills.php

Pick out one of your stamina based damage skills from the list. Compare the base damage dealt with and without the extra weapon damage of a gold weapon x (1+weapon damage modifiers). Could be around 3-4% more damage.
