No Guild Invitations

For the first couple of years (or more) playing ESO, I got lots of guild invitations. I would get at least one per week and sometimes more. For about a year now ... I haven't received even one invitation. I had actually quit the few guilds I used to belong to because they were basically inactive. The only time I heard from a guild master or officer was when they wanted the weekly dues. They were super active then but when it came to actually grouping and doing things ... zzzzzzzzz chirp, chirp. So it really hasn't been a big loss to me. However, I do miss selling things in the guild stores and I have a ton of stuff in my bank waiting to be sold. Is anyone else experiencing the same sort of "invitation silence" as I am?

(I also used to get dual requests as well but they've stopped as well)

Just curious.

There are lots of trading guilds that don't require dues ... but you have to at least put forth some effort to find the right one for you.

Check the subsection for guilds in forums. Just ask in zone and you might get invite. Still this is the first time I heard someone wants random invites. I think I have ideas for later....

It's not that I actually want lots of random invites. I'm actually wondering if I've been cut off from player to player communication when it comes to receiving electronic communications of that nature.

I remember a time I had 1 guild slot open and I got one guild invitation but others couldn't send any because I hadn't cancelled it yet.

Incidentally this works opposite for me for my friends, I have 99 friend slots used and 1 remaining (edited for clarification) and 120 notifications of friends wanting to add me that I keep in there because of the max limit and it doesn't stop more from asking.

Sometimes I notice one of those notifications drop, this has to be because they left, got an inactive account or have 100 friends themselves and no longer can be added. Or if I was blocked or I blocked them of course.

A social ban by ZOS is pretty noticable in-game. You don't have access to send mail (among other things).

Just try to whisper any random player in-game and that's your answer.

I'll give that a shot. I can't imagine ZOS having banned me for anything as I've been a paying customer since ESO launched and play nearly everyday without incident. But maybe there was some sort of glitch. Anyway ... I take your suggestion.

If someone in zone chat asks about a guild, I ask what kind of guild. If its something I can give an invite to, I'll whisper and ask if they want an invite. Almost nothing annoyed me more than getting unasked for, unwanted guild invites. I won't annoy other players by sending invites they might not want.

I'm not sure that many guilds send unsolicited invites anymore. I've been playing since last spring and have had between 5 and 10 pop up which suits me just fine.

There's a lot of things one can't imagine zos to do....If this really cause mail support and tell them your situation.

Unwanted/Ninja invites will always cause me to blacklist the guild involved. Every single time.

What I hate are the ones that RP their zone adverts: "a //name// passes you. Behind a glowing banner flows. Come join our guild, it says! //Name// disappears in the distance.

What even is the point? Oh well, to each their own. I just have pchat hotkeys to hide the chat window so I don't have to see it unless I want to.

I've had zero in almost a year. I don't care that I don't get the invites but I suspect that there is some sort of disconnect between my console and the rest of the ZOS world.

I've been in numerous guilds off-and-on over past years but haven't been in a single guild in the last 10 or 11 months. I'm not in any guild at the moment.

It never really annoyed me that much when I got an invite. I either accepted or declined and went about my business. I think early on in the game, members were encouraged to bring in as many people as possible and some guilds offered rewards to members who brought in new members. Apparently, that's not the way things are done anymore.
