Copper, like all the other crafting mats, drops according to your skill points spent in the respective craft, in this case Jewelry Crafting.
Meaning, you will only get Copper from ore nodes if you have *exactly* 2 skill points spent in "Engraver".

If you already spent more (or less) skill points in Engraver, you won't get any Copper drops. If that is the case, your best bet to complete the writ is to buy Copper ounces from a guild trader.
You do not have to be a member of a guild in order to buy anything from any Guild Trader. Just locate a Guild Trader NPC. Then use the Interactive Prompt for that Guild Trader to access and to purchase the items from the Guild Store of the guild which is currently represented by that Guild Trader.Sassierpants wrote: »Thank you! Yes that is the issue then because I have 3 of 5 on the Engraver Skill. Dang, well I am not in a Guild. I am kind of a loner player. Learn as I go... LOL. Wouldn't know the first thing about getting in a Guild but I can see the benefits of getting copper haha. Thanks again for clearing that up and I am guessing that works the same way with the wood spawns.Copper, like all the other crafting mats, drops according to your skill points spent in the respective craft, in this case Jewelry Crafting.

You must be a member of the guild that is currently represented by a Guild Trader if you want to sell items from the Guild's Store to players who are not members of the guild. (You can always buy items from, or post items for sale in, the Guild Store for a guild of which you are a member.)
