Please forgive me if I am doing this wrong as I never have game issues to moan about. I did send in a ticket but the response said to check here and I have searched and couldnt find a match. I was able to do this Writ a time before and complete it. I got it again and have 1 necklace completed but I can't find copper to complete the second necklace. I have been farming Bal Foyen for about 5 days now for hours on in and not a crumb of copper or copper dust. I can find every other ores and silvers but no coppers. Also, is it normal to only be able to find Red Ruby Ash Wood? These just don't seem normal to me and I am not a low level. I would really love for someone to please help me out. My Question Reference # 181211-003141. Thank you.

Copper, like all the other crafting mats, drops according to your skill points spent in the respective craft, in this case Jewelry Crafting.

Meaning, you will only get Copper from ore nodes if you have *exactly* 2 skill points spent in "Engraver".

If you already spent more (or less) skill points in Engraver, you won't get any Copper drops. If that is the case, your best bet to complete the writ is to buy Copper ounces from a guild trader.

Thank you! Yes that is the issue then because I have 3 of 5 on the Engraver Skill. Dang, well I am not in a Guild. I am kind of a loner player. Learn as I go... LOL. Wouldn't know the first thing about getting in a Guild but I can see the benefits of getting copper haha. Thanks again for clearing that up and I am guessing that works the same way with the wood spawns.

You do not have to be a member of a guild in order to buy anything from any Guild Trader. Just locate a Guild Trader NPC. Then use the Interactive Prompt for that Guild Trader to access and to purchase the items from the Guild Store of the guild which is currently represented by that Guild Trader.

You must be a member of the guild that is currently represented by a Guild Trader if you want to sell items from the Guild's Store to players who are not members of the guild. (You can always buy items from, or post items for sale in, the Guild Store for a guild of which you are a member.)

If you abandon that writ, the next one you pick up should require silver.

Node drops are said to be 50% determined by your character rank (so that a character in the Level 26-49 range would pick up copper at least half the time), with the other 50% based on your rank in the passive skill in the craft determining material use (Engraver in the case of jewelry).
