A question posed by a friend recently, we became curious about this. Through previous streams, members of the dev team couldn't complete veteran scale caller peak hard mode post "bug fixes", I doubt they can do the harder trials. This is not bashing the devs, as is it common for game devs to not be very good at their own game, but this goes back to the original question. Was a random number chosen? Or was there some sort of basis to the determined time? Personally, I believe the par time for vBRP at 40 minutes is hard to reach for a traditional (1 dedicated healer) team composition running hard mode (no sigils), the run times and number of unchained groups should be a good indication of this.
