4 Years of Poor Performance

Any plans to getting around to resolving the issues that should be priority zero (but aren't treated as such)? Or should we look forward to more crown store items so we can help fill your pockets?

Considering that the response to the 2nd year of Groupfinder bugs is "Whelp, apparently we didnt squash the bugs as well as we thought, so we'll keep working and at least we won't force you to use Groupfinder until we do," I'm not hopeful.

ESO bugs, glitches, and exploits are apparently like roaches - darned hard to kill them once and for all.

That's what you get when you have poor testing practices. I'd be fired if I spent 4 years developing/maintaining a product and it performed as poorly as ESO does lol.

The answer to your question is yes.

As pointed out above Zos has acknowledged that the GF was not fixed as they thought and will not have another event that requires the GF until they are 100% confident they have it fixed. Of course they somehow missed the numerous threads telling them it was still broken.

The link to that thread is below.

I wasn't even referring to that in particular, that's just one more example to add to the list.

And that is why such vague comments as the title and OP lead to the first reply in this thread.

Basically, if you are expecting answer from Zos I am suggesting they would not reply to a thread that really does not say anything. Just a suggestion.

I referenced the game's performance in the title.

Have you played a game that does not work well on your PC 4 years?

I wonder if the 4 years of poor performance of the game for you has to do with the equipment you are using or your internet service/provider...? There are 3 of us in our house that play simultaneously (with maxed out graphics on high quality/capacity pc systems thousands of miles away from the servers) with no issues at all, other than occasional very short-term difficulty with GF/DF during events.

I'm not certain blaming ZOS for all of it is really fair...

Lol trust me it's not my system. Poor game performance has been a common theme for years. The ZOS devs and server architects need to go back to the drawing boards. This game's distributed code is horrible.

The company responsible for the development/maintenance of a game is 'not' responsible?

There maybe some cases of hardware incompatibilities for some pc. But releasing a game, selling it at full price on two consoles that can not handle the game? The ports are horrible.

Not to mention that for myself, eso is the ONLY mmo that i get major lag for something that shouldnt be a thing (coming across 5 people in cyrodiil, is a instant DC.... But wvw on a tier 2 server on guild wars 2, come across a group of 40+, doesnt even hiccup).

It is there fault and action needs to be done to bring their game back to a acceptable level

Personally overall performanceance has been far better for me... except cydrolli. In past three years of playing.

Something changed with summerset for cydrolli.

Again. The point is the title and the OP are so vague they are almost meaningless.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen. - Douglas Adams

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too. - Douglas Adams
