Explanation on "The Golden" PvP NPC and Monster Sets

Hello, I recently got back into ESO and because I don't have all the DLC unlocked, I was wondering if "The Golden" can carry DLC Monster Sets and if I need the DLC to be unlocked to buy em and use them? Thanks.

Yes the gold vendor will carry all monster sets including those from DLC areas. You do NOT need to own the DLC to purchase and/or use. Kind of nice of ZOS actually. However, monster sets purchased from the gold vendor using Alliance Points will always have the impenetrable traits, and those purchased with gold will have a random trait.

Thank you so much, I will eventually get the DLCs but I PvP more then I PvE so this is great information.

As far as I know, yes. Whenever I've looked the ones you can purchase with gold seem to all be infused - which is fine by me.

Yes, a relic from the days when Infused was BIS for PVE.

As far as I know, yes. Whenever I've looked the ones you can purchase with gold seem to all be infused - which is fine by me.

Equally, you can get the matching shoulder piece from the Undaunted chest without owning the DLC, as well.

If you want to save your AP/gold and farm it, they run free trials of ESO+ about once every 3 months or so.
