Golden Vendor - stamina sets?

Bit of a rant here.

Anyone else feeling they rarely complete the stamina sets? We've had Spriggan's NECk two times. Then we had Hulking Draugr and Bone Pirate necks months ago. The complete stamina sets never ****** comes to that sneaky ***... Heem Jas', when will we see the neck? Before ZOS close their servers?

Ironically - I didn't even bother buying an Automaton neck because of this, because I thought it would be all the same. So I bought the rings and had to gold out the darn neck afterwards...

I also kind of see a pattern here:

Witchmother's Potent Brew recipes, you have a dozen of them after the event - even if you don't even try to farm them. Dubious Camoran Throne; I've had ONE recipe since 2016 (even though I tried farming it)... It also takes Beetle Scuttle (3 of them), which is not a really easily farmed ingredient.
We have Clockwork Citrus Filet, takes ONE Perfect Roe to make; and we have the Artaeum Takeaway Broth, takes FIVE Powdered Mother of Pearl to make, and yeah - try to farm or buy that to the same price as a Perfect Roe, will you?

We have Bone Pirate, a Dungeon set - Bright-Throat's Boast appears, readily available - an overland set (and you had Lich and several other similar sets before that). I could go on. Haven't really tried the Clockwork drink with Bright-Throat's Boast, but I suspect it will work; but of coooourse the Artaeum "food" doesn't work with Bone Pirate. Who would've thought that!?

Don't come and nag about Hulking Draugr vs Necropotence now, same thing there - Necro is an overland set, you can BUY it (and also, you've had the chance to buy the golden jewelry; several times if I'm not wrong). And max magicka and max stamina is not nearly the same thing. A LOW max magicka, is considered a rather high max stamina. You can't reach a max stamina of similar levels as high max magicka: unless you are an emperor werewolf in Imperial Physique in Imperial City, or whatever.

Could we simply say magicka is the easy way out, a kind of "handicap"? I play both, so I don't really take any sides here, but for me it's obvious.

Same second I pressed "publish", I remembered the clockwork recipe is not a drink, so it won't work with Bright-Throat's Boast, sorry. No need to point that out. Mistake. ;-D

Golder Vendor mostly has stamina sets and hardly magicka. At least that is how i feel/experience it.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

It honestly seems about 50/50 in the vendor with most of it being trash. But it definitely does seem easier to toss together a good magicka build in a short time, especially with bright throats now.

They do, but total crap ones - if they are anywhere near useful, you never have the full sets. Ever.

Of course most sets in total are junk, but the few good Magicka ones are usually completed, the Stamina ones ain't.

Every week ( when I have AP ) I always buy 1 or 2 pieces of gold jewelry. I think i have around 40 items now. Most my complete sets were picked up during the PvP event. I have mostly stam pieces because that is what I play.

I finally used one of my complete set "Automaton" and I'm really enjoying it. Last week I picked up 2 Morihaus rings. I more than likely won't use it it but I thought it would be fun to see how dogging through enemy would cause them to knock back.

I bet if players could peek in my inventory they would say "mmmmm i want that ". :)

As far as the golden is concerned, I've always felt a better system would be to, yes, keep it random...but don't have anything repeat until all the sets have been cycled through.

So, if gold Spriggans rings came up one weekend, you wouldn't see them again until every other set would be cycled through. They'd be off the loot table until the next cycle.
    Same with the monster sets.

This would cut getting the same sets over and over completely out entirely, and at least guaranteeing you'd see the sets you were after at least once a cycle.

Now make a zerg of roll dodgers using this set and recreate Armor of Thorns trolling from Dark Souls.

I don't mind sets re-appearing. But for the sake of the Gods - let us complete the sets we've had one half of, at least in some 3-6 months time. I mean, Spriggan YAY! A year passes, WOW SPRIGGAN.... neck...... Again.... If this is totally random, they really should change that. Because now it's just annoying, and as long as golding out sets costs a fortune or takes at least a quarter of a year for a normal player it's just bad.

Well, the history of items is listed here: http://benevolentbowd.ca/games/esotu/esotu-chronicle-of-alliance-point-vendor-items/#201811

Since Feb 2018 when ZoS normalized drops on PC and Console:

    54 Magicka
    59 Stamina
    40 tank

Looks pretty close to me OP ;)

I think you missed the point, entirely. I don't get tears of joy in my eyes from getting the possibility to buy a full set of Draugr's Heritage or other useless sets, I mean the ones that matter. They don't complete the sets stamina players really want. I think Automaton is the only exception I can think of, actually. And that's not even considered a "good set" by many, many players.

    Clockwork doesn't work with Bright-Throat.

I can see where you're coming from, to an extent, but stamina in actual play is so strong that it's hard to keep understanding.

Very rarely is there anything worth spending gold or AP on in my opinion. Just junk sets most don't use.

Its RnG bud... You know how long some magicka players waited anxiously for gold Lich and Amberplasm Jewelry to drop... Now for you claiming bias or saying "magicka is the easy way", I think that is misleading... These things change from patch to patch...Remeber the Viper Sting Days?

You still have a year or so to wait, before you have a reason to complain about Lich and Amber Plasm, really.
I have a feeling Amber Plasm neck will show up pretty soon, at least my NB PVP healer says he thinks and hopes so. ;-)
